I got sticks but I dont use em as much as I should. It is WAY easier to pull those ultras off tho. Triggers on the PS3 controller is the worst thing ever. I guess I need to practice with mines more though since there wont be any button mapping in the tournament. It’ll be impossible to pull ultras off on that damn controller for me… unless I had 3 hands… makes me think of the N64 controller.

All I know is that I seriously need more practice in SF4 cause Chase got all up in my ass like Roca-Pads online last night. It was the worst ass whoopin I’ve received in that game so far. Ima bounce back tho. I gotta force Gens old ass into retirement, wheelchair style. He’ll be gettin his social security checks if he qualifies for them. I also gotta put Honda on the Jenny Craig plan through force. Fat bastard thinks he’s slick…like a wet baby seal. Bastards went thru any victims I put in front of em. Sagat lost because Gen kept punching his blind side. Ryu’s headband was too tight, cutting off circulation. Blanka had rabies. Balrog was high. Gief was off the roids. Guiles barber messed up so his mind was on his hair and not on the fight. Rose was Weed. Basically it wasnt anyones day. They’ll get their shit together tho or fade into “bolivion”

I still honestly believe that that Gen was doing what he did because of lag in the display. I just can’t fathom how that simple crossup gimmick would lead to so many wins.

I can tell the Tekken players were feeling something off too, otherwise they wouldn’t’ve moved to the CRT to play that.

Gecko, there’s some tests you can run on that screen detailed over in Tech Talk that will either debunk the lag claim or support it. I hope the tests prove it wrong, myself.

If, on the other hand, it does come out there’s lag to it with the current setup, it’s not hopeless. There’s things that can be done to minimize and even eliminate it.

The way I see it, we want our scene to bring itself up, and that means playing under the conditions that will allow us to bring our best.

Lag wasnt an issue when it came to Gen. I can vouch for that. I played Chase online and our games were close to perfect and he was doin that same shit. The man happened to find a VERY useful tactic and horribly exploited it. We’re just gonna have to find ways to stop it. I’ve beatin his Gen like 3 times altogether I believe so its possible, but difficult. We just gotta step our game up. And speakin of games, I might need you to beat that damn Mean Bean Machine for me. Now that game makes Gen look like a Snuggles soft Teddy Ruxpin with fresh batteries and new tapes.

With the info you sent me; I know what I need to do. I’m going towards the console vga cable. It is the only economically viable option. That HDFury converter is just too exspensive.

My current setup is this. My old TV started working again. I placed it right next to the new one. All I do is switch the dispaly settings to HDMI to AV; when I need to. I could play SFIV on the new one; but I was feeling the lag in it when I was playing last night at home.

I’m still going to enter the SFIV tourney. After that I might not play it so much. It is losing its appeal now.

Umm, did you run the tests with GH2 (or higher) or RB2?

If you did, what were the times?

I have GH2; but my PS3 is not BC with PS2 games. nobody I know has RB2. It’s like this. If I can get the least posssible lag with whatever I need to get; that’s what I’m going to do. Doing more research has me fearing that T6 will lag. I want to enjoy my favorite fighter in HD.
