I didnt bother going to one of them bullshit lame stop tournaments. When I heard you couldnt use sticks, change button configs, and it was being played on xbox it was a wrap. WHY??? That has to be the dumbest thing EVER. That has to be one of the gayest controllers ever for a fighting game besides the dreamcast controller. They did that so the scrubs could have a chance and some fun by not getting their asses destroyed.

Back from Naptown Clash II.
I repped Cincy pretty well in SF4, playing Sagat, Zangief (explained later) and Gouken in a run to 5th. Keith didn’t do too much worse, though.
A few notes about IV worth mentioning:
- Zangief is Easy Mode in this game, thanks to lenient controls and insane SPD range. I picked him for one match to counter a Balrog I knew I’d have trouble fighting with Sagat. That game was almost painful for the 'rog player, and he switched to Bison to try to stay airborne as much as possible. Managed to hang on, though, and won the 'gief-Bison matchup as well.
- Abel roll shenanigans are no longer safe on me. You Abel-mainers (yep, looking at you, geon) better find some other stuff quick.
- My lone game with Gouken was in response to being beasted on with Ryu. Lost it, though, to the 3rd-place finisher.
- I got to prove just how bad Seth as a playable character really is in casuals. People seemed to agree that if anything, he should be buffed some in a future revision.
As for the venue itself, I’m going on record now as saying if there’s another tournament in the same place, we won’t be attending. At least not unless they clear it with the mall as an event that gets parking validation (and what a pretentious yuppified place that was… I mean, really, the name of the place was ‘Circle Centre’ [note the British spelling], and I also noticed their stroller rental station had the same kind of wannabe-fancy spelling, the ‘SmarteCarte’ [WTF is with the superfluous Es?]. Of course, it was also a 10-minute walk for a 5-minute smokebreak, too, so… yeah. No disrespect to the Indianapolis crew, but damn… find a better place, please?). By the time we got out of there, at nearly midnight, the parking alone came to $14. We may not be cheap, but christ, we’re not made of money either.

Back from Nashville, it was fun as hell. Did relatively ok in DR tournament… didn’t go two n out but the one match I did win wasn’t anything to brag about…he was a horrible Roger Jnr player whom I steamrolled over.
Derrick did awesome in all tournaments he entered, further cementing his name as the J. Wong of Cincy in that every game he touches he becomes good at.
Mike did great in casuals and in BR just not in DR… tough break dude.
We all had too much fun playing T6: BR tho and I capped at least 13 videos of us playing. Trip was also fun cause it was just us three chilling and what not and we experienced some really nice southern hospitality.
Be seeing everyone tonight hopefully at Darius’ house. We can watch the T6: BR videos on the big screen.
BTW Keith that isn’t my controller, I got all my stuff. It might be Kris’ tho cause I gave his one back to him that night.

I’ll just do my lazy GGs to everyone I played on Monday. I will try to get a little more experience though as I found out I’m one of those crazy scrubs online that gets constantly defeated. I’ll work on that though as I would like to get some of those online-based achievements.
Darius - I’ll most certainly try to make sure I get a good return on my investment. Kinda sucks that I only have one or two hours at home during the week. Combine that with the other games that I desire to play and things really get cut down.
I dunno how many of you are planning on seeing that Street Fighter Movie, but I think I might see it. It’s sort of like going to NASCAR to see the car wrecks. But then, you never know if it might be a good experience.
