Cigarette Company Told To Pay $23.6 Billion to Wife of Cancer Victim

Why is this not in the Florida thread?

Yall know the only reason this verdict was handed down was for insurance purposes after Bugs is finished with the saw.

That money ensures the survival of Florida after that.

Wait, smoking is bad for you?

She got third degree burns from that cup of coffee. She needed multiple surgeries which mcdonalds refused to pay for. On top of that, internal reports from mcdonalds had many documented instances of the coffee harming customers.

At the moment you are misinformed, if you keep this ups you’ll just be an idiot.

Edit: shitty iPad sucks balls for typing.

thats the rumor, but where is the EVIDENCE?

She should have died.

Edit: …but at least now people are given fair warning that coffee is hot.

They can afford it. :coffee:

Careful, that shit is hot. Don’t drink a bunch of bleach, either. It’ll really mess you up. So tragic.

You should really probably educate yourself, the same stuff you’re saying has been already covered before.

One of the reasons I don’t like helping people is most people are just sheep. The media is corporate owned and just teaches people what to think, and I personally have zero desire to educate people. But you can read this if you want:

You should probably go fuck yourself. Everyone that defends the woman and her victory sites the severity of her injuries. It’s hot coffee. The coffee already had a warning on it, and it’s still just as hot. Not even the hottest, iirc.

Are you a fucking illiterate? Read the link retard.

You’re bad at this.

Bad at what? I’m not trying to troll you, just read the link.

There is a difference in temperature between hot and burning the human flesh on contact. It’s the difference between being outside in a hot summer day and being outside in the middle of the desert, or worse being in a burning building.

The coffee was well beyond “hot” and into the “burn on contact” range. McDonalds subsequently lowered the temperature, because they knew they were in the wrong and there was no way there wouldn’t be more lawsuits, if not criminal proceedings.

Just make cigarettes illegal.

Problem solved.

Can Alcohol and Caffeine be next? Then other forms of stimulation that can be addictive/habit forming.
Sieg heil mine fuhrer Bitte sagen Sie mir, wie ich mein Leben zu leben

Once I got to Florida It all made sense.

You’re living in a country that awarded 3 million to a 79 year old woman because she spilled mcdonalds coffee on herself

:coffee:

That’s not really funny.

MGS3 was a VR simulation.

Its the only amount that would phase them.

That’s refreshing. I’d read once that the only change had been to the warning label itself.
