Or use an XBox 360 or tupper ware box
How exactly is the stick mounted in the 360? I dont see any screws showing on the top.
ahhhh goodshitgoodshitgoodshit
This is going to seem like a stupid question but I don’t smoke so I don’t know. But do the boxes smell strongly like cigars? And if so is there any way to get the smell out?
no product will remove the smell of cigar. Just time.
oh wow best idea ever! All those stick parts will now have use again.
Pos rep coming your way.
I’m going to see if i can get a hold of a camera to take some pics of the interior. I’ll try and have them up in a few days.
Thanks for the rep I’m just glad you guys like the idea!
Unfortunately the box does tend to absorb some of the tobacco smell because they line them with cedar to keep the cigars fresh. But, tobacco really doesn’t have an offensive odor before being smoked. On the plus side the boxes are almost guaranteed to be airtight so if you dont like the smell of fresh tobacco…you won’t have to smell it unless you open the box.
damn thats a really creative way to build a stick. good job
Sorry guys I was at Blizzcon all weekend and never got a chance to take a pic of the inside of Cubano no.1. I’ll try and get the pic up later today.
i’m having trouble finding spade bits of 24mm and 30mm.
Hmm… good to know, thanks for the reply. Guess I’m giving my local cigar shop a call…
Your best bet is online. 30mm and 24mm forstner bits are likely a better option. Alternatively, you can try using 1 3/16 and 15/16 hole saws for the English approximations, though they’re also uncommon to find at a big box store.
Checked my local Smoke Shop, but all the boxes were oddly shaped… Will try again in a few weeks…
I love cigar boxes, they always look so classy. I have always personally wanted to do something with one. Great job!

I recently got a cigar box from a thrift store. Smells more like weed though. Going to put korean parts in it.
thanks~!
ah, since i’m a noob when it comes to tools and hardware, didn’t know what a Forstner bit was until now. HMm, i only have an old power drill that’s hand held… which i read may be tricky to drill right, but i found a good tip i guess!
Thanks again guys for all the support. When I first came up with the idea I had no idea that it would work out as well as it did.
If any of you guys finish a cigar box stick please post pics. I would love to see what you guys come up with.
I wasn’t planning on building another stick but I think I may have to swing by my local cigar shop… Great idea!
Inside the 360 is a steel box. The stick is mounted onto that
