Haneyama vs FZ . Great match.

I also have a jump in -> sweep option select video up on my channel. It doesn’t have to be off of 2 fierces. But I used Balrog in the example, works with Chun though. It’s a weird coincidence that Haneyama did it with roundhouse vs FZ.

I’ve always felt that Chun could push Sagat in a corner fairly well. …Not that he isn’t dangerous there as well, but at least it gives you some options for dealing with him better.

Also interesting that Nemo didn’t try to AA ANY of RF’s jump-ins. All focus backdash. This was genius because RF wasn’t jumping at the distance/angle for Chun’s non-meter options to work well, and even if you just block, it puts Sagat in your house on his terms…that’s always a bad situation.

I might have to play against RF tomorrow. Taking notes from this.

Nemo love his tricks versus sagat. If i remember, he said abuse sweep versus him ^^

About haneyama vs FZ.

Like you said MM haneyama did an option select sweep but after FZ try to answer that by an Ex seismo and haneyama predict that and choose to do an empty jump hazan shu instead of an other option select = Psychic haneyama

About the video from amigdala.

Nice and too bad we cannot see the entire match. But what i like about chun li is she has so many way to play.
In your video, i have see some good stuff.

You act like you will do something and finally you do other thing. Nice

There’s always far mk if you do it early enough, and cr.hp beats all of Sagat’s jump-ins when timed correctly as well, and there’s always cr.mp/cr.mk.
I think the reason he was using focus backdash is most likely because either he was reacting to the jump too late and didn’t want to block, or he was scared about failing the anti-air and didn’t want to risk it.

thx,i just started with her…normaly i play sakura (witch is very different type of gaming)…but i love this strong-legged-lady more and more…i have a few probs with gettin crossed and jump ins (i miss my crHP from sak xD )

i love the ultra @ 0:45.nice hidet and perfectly timed

Actually the obvious reason why he was doing this IMO is because he wanted an easy and safe way to get meter so sagat can’t keep zoning with fireballs freely. He did trade a couple times when he tried to counter the jump ins, so it might have been timidness, but I think he was just trying to build meter.

Haneyama got some smart shit! Solid play from him, I think I learned some new tricks that I need to look into and put into effect. :smokin:

nemo…best chun on the planet, great match vs rf. whats up with everyone rocking money green chun?

Chun took Rog’s fight money recently and she thought she’d turn it into a suit, make that nigga extra salty.

heyy i was watching your other video with gief and i was noticing that you weren’t quickstanding after being knocked down which allowed gief to catch up to you…you can quickstand by either tapping down when you hit the floor or hitting two buttons…i prefer hitting two buttons so that you can keep chun’s charge for ex sbk alive…just a helpful hint

i didnt know chun could punish jab srk with cr.fp xx mk bird after instant block… good stuff.

throw in super afterwards and its 528 damage.

Man that seems impossible. After I read about it here, I went into training mode and tried it…even on counter hit it never worked.

Then I let my buddy try it…this guy was a solid 3s tourney player and his execution is scary good…and even he didn’t get it in about 10 tries.

Is there a particular super (short, forward, roundhouse) that you have to use?

Must…try…harder…

It’s tricky, but definitely possible.

Abuse negative edge to get it to come out more consistently.

I was using piano inputs, with counter hit on.

Then I switched to trying only specific inputs like just a double tap of short, then forward, etc…

Nothing worked, but I’ll keep at it.

Thats true thanks. I actually just recently started to use quick stand after a knockdown.

Yeah Para I think I got the video to help with that, I’m not even 60% solid on mk sbk to super but it comes more consistently this way.

You are the man!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I know that video…I was using the drum or “piano” method already and when the super comes out, its after the MK.SBK ends.

I’ll just try harder!

Oh my bad ^^; Yeah it’s not easy, harder to time than any other combo/link/juggle I’ve talked about. I try to initiate super the moment she’s turning right-side up again. Hope that helps.
