I was talking about doing normal SBK instead of EX SBK after the EX legs, which is not about any piano method, but simply trying to do the combo without enough meter. Think you totally misunderstood the point. That LL execution thing has nothing to do with my post.
Oh! I see what I did there.
You’re completely correct, good sir. I misread that bit. I was so focused on the button sounds that Azrael’s LL method makes that I must have rewrote your message in my mind.
I agree with you; however, no other method than the one I described allows the same ease and flexibility. With my piano method, a player can verify into EX LL from any combination of c.LP and c.LK granted the final attack before the EX LL is a c.LK.
Any other method is somewhat clunky; demands extra, unnecessary inputs to gain a high success rate and will fail you occasionally.
Ultimately, many players discover it is much too difficult to learn a new method or unlearn one they are already comfortable with. So whatever works for you is fine, but if you want a single method that you can use in any combo that ends in c.LK-EX LL, this is it.
-Flood!-
best ex ll combo with regards to ease of execution and applicability is:
cr.lk,(cr.lk) cr.lk, (cr.lk) > any 2 kicks simultaneously.
comes out 100%, is easy to verify, and requires no hard to do, left to right piano.

Daigo Kumite #2 including Nuki and Nemo
Proof that Nuki is the foundation of Chun. He played it like an art…probably my favorite Chun match to date, even if he lost.
watching 3s nuki and sf4 nuki you’d almost think its 2 different people playing… i mean he uses the same style of chun on 4 as 3s (zone heavy) but on 3s his shit actually works more often…
tiers matter.
yeah MM, when i look towards good fundamental chun, nemo aint got shit on nuki.
BUT, nemo has that random factor DOWN, nuki would do well if he could throw some of that into his game, but i dont think he wants to… i know the feeling.
awesome fights nonetheless… i didnt think daigo could get any better than he already was… boy was i wrong.
dude is like inhuman or some shit to be able to have as many strengths as he does, at the level that he plays at.

Damn, Nuki’s chun is so clear and crisp.
Where is the pianoing if it’s just c.lk? Do you mean double tapping the same button? I do lk~mk piano tapping myself… but my chun’s not that great, just a fun alt.
I don’t like to comment on Daigo and others that much, but I have to agree…sometimes I wonder if he leaves the arcade, removes his human skin, and settles down into a nice oil bath while his CPU vents heat.
Sorry to sound like a fool but I can’t get the vid to play when I click play it just takes me back to the main page. What software do I need or do I need an account and if so how do I set one up as my japanese is a little rusty LOL…
Would like to see the vid as it sounds good
Just use this: Just use this:

copy the nico videos into that…
directly on topic about the chun footage: saw some nice subtle elements in there they used with their zoning that I’ll be incorporating into my strategy to make her even MORE solid!
The most simplest way to take out Gouken-counter types is to throw. their. ass. The smarter players will either use his tatsu or attempt to tech the throw, which is why you need to mix up the timing with empty jump-ins, walk-up->throw or hasan.
And yes Az, your gameplay is and always has been solid, you’re one of the pinnacle Chun players here, never forget that!
Hmm, that Ryu’s jump-in lk, does that cross up? If it does, character doesn’t go to the other side, and if it isn’t a crossup, Ryu jumps from about the distance he needs to when he wants to do a crossup, that’s pretty ambiguos either way. Not that I specifically follow Ryu’s section on SRK, but never saw using that move until now.
It’s still single matches and they could have gone either way really, but jesus, Daigo is a motherfucker, and I like to think that his EVO experience helped improve his game a bit too (in case it wasn’t recorded before it).
if you’ve been going on irc or the evo champ boards, you’ll find out he’s human!
Apparently the guy is pretty “ballsy” and a funny guy. I’ve always thought of him to be an Albert Einstein guy, a reclusive genius.
i did this and it took me to a page where theres an empty spot on the screen where a video might go but its blank. any suggestions?
edit: ok its working now, i didnt do anything different though :\

that EMP chun guy challenging people
Having the same trouble myself man. I also tried to use “bugmenot” and that appeared to be a no go.
Oh well.
Judging from these videos I really need to incorporate Hazan Shuu much more often.
I’d just like to echo what Ombra said, I’d just like to point out about when you have the opponent stunned (the guile match), I saw i the above video you went for the J.FPx2, Cr. FP into MK SBK. (not sure the proper annotation, but you get my drift!).
Even if you are going to go for meterless combos (I personally don’t usually, but can understand why you would), its worth bearing in mind that you have sort of unneccesarily added more to the combo scaling with the above. Its not a huge thing, but sometimes every bit of damage counts! You could switch it up to the J.HK, or if you have time the neutral jumping FP (since that doesn’t require 2 inputs). Maybe also think of cl.HK into Legs to follow up, because if you cancel the cr.FP into something like the SBK, you are in effect adding only half a move’s worth of damage, but adding another input for damage scaling.
Then again, maybe you did that all because the SBK reset is pretty good, so it depends on the risk situation I guess!
I personally go for the good old J.HK,cl.HK,EX Legs. Short, simple, and it hurts, and can lead to an EX SBK or Ultra is I’m in the right place. Kick them when they are down!
I’ve looked through a fair few other matches, and all in all I like what I see! Nice job man. There was one Bison that gave you a hell of a hard time though, maybe FA the devils reverse every so often to give yourself a bit of breathing room?
EDIT: Time for me to show you guys my chun for the first time!
I had a random feeling to actually record my matches today. I played against this Ken player called Blazovitch. Last time we played it was a pretty even thing between us, but I managed something like 14-6 today or something. Either he was a little off, or I was confusing him more than normal.
Anyway, here are the videos and they are all pretty short don’t worry. Nothing Azrael like ;). If you guys could take a look it’d be much appreciated. I recorded only a random ones (when my camera had enough charge!) but they are in order. You can probably tell because I seem a fair bit worse in the first games, it was basically my warm up!
Looking on them now, I can see some problems already, not to mention my defense and execution is a little slack sometimes, but any constructive critisism into some of the tactics I’m using would be helpful.

That’s odd. It should have a search bar at the top, but that’s where you would enter the URLs ppl have been posting here.
Here’s some of his matches of the “ultimate” Chun challenge. Someone explain to me again how he was apparently inducted into EMP. His gamertag doesn’t say EMP, so he must be in the apprentice stage.

^ I think that guy is slow…
like riding the short bus type of slow…
edit: I like it how his opponent somehow gets 4 wins in his next video rofl tryna be slick and make it look like he only got 2.
You know - I didn’t even notice that, but I had a sneaking suspicion that he was only uploading matches where he’s mostly winning. Thank god he’s not part of the Fellowship, I’d cancel my membership. LOL.
