Legs don’t hit properly in the PS4 version, so I’m not getting it until they actually acknowledge and address that. It’s a shame too, because I want to hop back online and start streaming again.
I didn’t try the loops, but def my U1 juggles were off I have to do bnbs faster/ “earlier” than usual…e.g.when I get a corner EX leg I have to Ultra 1 quite earlier than what I usually do on PS3/360.
Probably the best example of Chun Li being used thus far in SFV.

I think she is looking really cool - anyone interested in making a Chun V thread here so fellow Chuns can chit-chat?
There’s already a Chun-Li thread in the SF5 section. We could always use the general thread here too.
Yup, I made this post before that thread got created.
Thanks though, I’ll just stick to SF5’s section.
For some reason I can’t post in any thread in the SFV section. As soon as I hit “post comment”, my message disappears and nothing gets posted. I wanted to talk about her super art in SFV.
She’s had that rapid-kicking super art for literally generations, I think it’s about time she should do something different. They ought to bring back her super art from MvC, Shisei something something or whatever it’s called, the name in Chinese or Japanese characters is 七星閃空腳 where she sends a flying kick to the opponent in mid air and it deals only 1 hit, the words then appear on screen à la Akuma’s raging demon. I think it fits well with her SFV iteration taking into consideration her various aerial combos as well as her ability to use different jump arcs.
she should have a super based on sbk that is like a really good defensive tool.
Air demon/Shichisei Senkuu Kyaku was in Tatsunoko vs Capcom
She could have her Level 3 from U/MvC3 back (4:16), it looks like an SBK and Hazanshu combination
Some Akuma sets with a friend
Against another friend’s Dee Jay starting at 3:00
I think I already told @Malvadisco and @Necrotrophic about this. How embarrassing :3
Back during vacation at a friend’s, USF4 patch was having probs. I lost my patience over that j. lk (should have used more c. mp/c. mk). Def should have just pressed him on the ground, than jumping in an risking slide or worse anti-airs. :bawling:
The other Dee Jays I fight, aren’t so agressive. They usually use him like Guile 2.0 i.e. don’t play him like that.
such a bummer he had it
Man, he´s SOOOO good, he´s just missing damage because he plays so many damn characters that he only does the simplest combos.
I´d say he needs about 2 openings a round more than he should need.
His playstyle combinded with Valmasters execution and matchup knowledge…
So ages ago I came on here trying to get help with my local tournament’s dictator so I finally managed to video the two top players in action.
So now you can get an idea of the level I am playing against. I am getting closer to him I think the last match was a bracket reset loss 3-1 which is probably my best result to him. Anyway I have been training and I hope it shows a bit.
Well against Gouken, don’t jump unless you are safe in doing so. Rd 2 for example you did A LOT of jumping and didn’t need to do so just walk him in the corner - trust me I can tell this dude would do something reckless eventually.
I’ll just post a few things and keep in mind I’m not beating you up. Rather I want to build you up!
A lot Gouken’s like doing FAs for some reason and this one is no different.
@23 seconds you came in with J. HK during his FA.
I highly recommend using J. HP in 99.99% of these moments. You have several options to consider when using plus this time would have wrecked his FA
@28 seconds you did a LP kikouken - F+Mk. Try this LP Kikouken walk up CL.St.HK. Cancel this into LLegs or LK HSU for pressure. After LLegs you’ll usually get a free Cr. Lp into Throw
You started to seem a little to button happy maybe too frantic? I can’t see your inputs but I can tell some execution errors happened so just take note of those and grind them out in training mode so you won’t miss them. Don’t be afraid to use St. MP xx HSU especially when you can FADC for more pressure or get away without being punished. You also need more Cr. HK
No complaints with Rd 2 until he cued up Red FA - recognize that and dash the heck back and be ready to punish something reckless. You really got off easy because he didn’t maximize his punish.
Don’t be afraid to use Cr. Mk after your Lps. St. Mp is good you can cancel Kikouken and HSU same as Cr. MK but it give the opponent something different to look at. Plus if Cr. Mk catches them standing or scores a counter you can land an easy EX LLegs
Situational awareness like the end of RD 2 if they do a point blank FA like that and hold it, Let EX SBK rip and be ready for potential corner Ultra juggle
Rd 3 you got the job done, but left a lot of damage potential on the table. As Chun Li player you need to capitalize on your opponents mistakes to the fullest and get the most damage out of hit confirms that you can. If you play on Steam you can hit me up sometime.
I’m already teaching a few people Akuma, Ken, E Ryu and Juri - I’d much rather teach a Chun lol.
Patato quality because the Japanese had a faulty HDMI that day :3
Evo pool onstream action
Iansanity at UGC
Seen on Steam.
The combo video has a nice editing!
