Chun Li Tricks

cr. strong, SBK can be rolled through unless it’s after a counter hit cr. strong, then it connects.

The only thing Chun really needs for mixups is counter hit jabs/strongs, and mixed up SBK (short/forward/RH). This is enough for Chun to win. Other than that you can do st. mp, fireball and throw mixups.

Example:
You have full meter.
Running or walk up cr. jabs, st. mp, fireball.
Both characters turtle
St. Mp, fireball
Walk up throw or walk up cr. jab, counter hit whatever
Then go from there.

mike watson trick (or whoever’s trick before he used it): in corner, cl.:hk: xx jump. then fall on their head with :lk:. nothing special, but its hard to stop (shes right on top of your head), and keeps momentum going.

Good thread, Chun’s my favorite character…but RC legs xx BLAH BLAH is practical. It’s the same as Blanka’s RC electricity. You can use it as a wakeup or after a knock down. This is the setup I use to land a super @ least 30-35% of the time.

But all the tricks posted are good, the best is standing strong xx super (not really a trick,) but if you can do that consistantly, then your Chun is now a monster, forget beast.

It’s hard doing it facing the right though…

Also practice walk up standing Fierce xx super after your opponent blocks a few ducking jabs. They usually expect A) walk and throw B) walk, then you go into low jabs again. Make them think you’re committing to a throw then hit them w/ a quick standing Fierce xx super, you never go back to a crouching position, so they tend to think you’re going to throw. I’m not too good with this one yet.

N-Groove Chun is dope too. low jumps, Run & RC’s. Best trick is once you super an opponent and get them cornered, you can do Low jump overhead stomp…now the next time you get your opponent cornered you can go into low jab - standing Fierce xx BLAH BLAH BLAH.
