so for the blanka ultra thing, if i don’t have an ex meter for the sbk, how can i defend from the ultra during wakeup? because it’s pretty much on top of chun already during her wake up

Only thing you can really do is block at the last possible moment. You can tell but it’s very small window to notice. Sorry for a lack of posting, works been a bitch for me.

can someone give me advice on linking crouching lightkick after hazanshu? i keep messing that up.

for example for balrogs ex rush upper jab link it really helped me when someone said the opponent slightly goes in the air and you have to jab just when he comes down, are there any tricks like that for the chunli link or do you just have to learn the timing?

you probably could ULTRA to escape. but you will eat a free ball since chun’s ultra take forever when whiffed. to ULTRA or not to ULTRA, thats the question.

Of the above options, when playing against opponents who have uppercuts, I don’t recommend backdashing. I have never been able to successfully backdash out of a reversal uppercut against a Shoto after MK SBK.

Also, I have a question:

We’re aware that Zangief can reversal SPD Hazanshu on block. If you FADC backdashed out of Hazanshu at the soonest possible moment, would you still eat the SPD?

I took magman’s advice and noted the light blue “blade” shadow that appears at the end of the HSU, right after that inputting cr.lk should happen. Also MK HSU is easiest to link from since it has the most frame advantage.

You can if you backdash the instant you’ve focus canceled, I’m sure if it’s delayed you’re screwed.

Yes, no follow up on ex messiah puts him at -14. That’s why you see so many Rufus players willing to sacrifice three bars if they guessed incorrectly.

Edit: correct me if I’m wrong on the rufus part, I’m not super great at reading frame data.

i would like to add to linking LK after any hazanshu that i recomend you quickly DOUBLE TAP the lk input because in my own personal experience i land it more double tapping it then i do just timing it, it also helps as a +1 input for ex legs if thats what your going for. Just remember to input it as LATE as possible according to the blue blade thing disapearing cause it usually isnt as soon as you think. hope i helped =)

It’s not necessarily as tight as you make it sound, you FA on hit which means he still has blockstun left to go which is 19 frames from the moment the HS connects. That sounds like enough time to backdash, doesn’t it? I don’t know why I’m speculating anyway, this is one of those “easy to answer if you go into training mode” type questions.

Well I’m speaking if you tried to charge the FA instead of backdashing or just letting the level 1 FA hit.

Is it possible to combo into anything after the df roundhouse crossup? I think it’s quite difficult to do it with her lk crossup, because you have to press lk so late and there’s only a small area that you can hit.

you can do cl.HK xx ex legs as one example but it is possible to combo after df roundhouse cross up

Depending on spacing and where you land the df RH you have several possible combos available, the ones I use most often are…

cl.RH >> EX Legs

cr.WP, cr.Wk, cr.Wk >> EX Legs

cr.MK >> SBK (or EX SBK)

On another note I have noticed that cl.RH >> HSU catches nearly everybody out at least a few times from df.RH
