Ultra 1 actually starts up faster than Ultra 2, so as long as you have the charge for it, it will be easier to combo with than Ultra 2.
Hey guys! Is there any list about on which characters are jumping forward is working on as a crossup? It seems as on almost every character, but sometimes i get mixed results with it.
Is Chun still worth using in AE?
Is this some sort of trick question?
I think she’s still good enough to beat Yun, Yang, and Fei Long, but Yun and Yang are the only characters I wanted to be in SSF4 all along and I want to start using Yang as a secondary. But I don’t think I’ll be dropping Chun li, Yang just seems like a strong alternate. Even though I would just main Chun li and only use Chun li, I just accepted the matchups. They weren’t that bad either, so I don’t know if I will seriously use Yang as a counter pick. Chun li still seems the same, I’m just worried about her getting outclassed by other characters. That may be a reason Nemo is playing Yang now, or he just wants to play Yang because its fun

I think Chun-Li is still a really strong character. The only thing she really lost was df+LK as a universal anti-air, but now it’s situational like most of her other anti-airs, which is not such a bad thing.
How long would it take to be decent with Chun if you know basically nothing about her?
A long time my friend, being good with Chun is probably one of the most difficult.
Low HP, weak defense, no “solid” anti air, matchups, combos, etc…
but she’s really rewarding; teaches you a lot about footsies and game mechanics, option selects, and a wide variety of matchup knowledge.
only use her if you like her though and could feel yourself through the character
^ I’ll let you know when I get there
But im sure she isn’t as hard as Viper.
I guess she doesn’t fit me then. Is Cammy easier than Chun?
AFAIK, all her anti-air options are pretty solid when used appropriately. I would say she has no dedicated anti-air like a dp, but even her ex-sbk is pretty solid.
Subjective. IMO, Viper’s learning curve is steep at the beginning, but once you’ve gotten the super jump cancels stuff down pat, her combos are relatively easier to hit with consistency than Chun’s 1f link combos.
Cammy is no easier than Chun when it comes to hitting link combos.
Does anybody know if the Cody “unblockable” is shoto specific? Or is it something Chun will have to finds a solution too?

Got a vid for said unblockable? I haven’t seen it yet.
Yeah sorry didn’t think that is wasn’t well known as its a guy from Neo Empire that has put the vid together for it, its basically the same sort of thing as Aliounes Cammy unblockable…

As far as I know it def works against shoto’s and all other DP characters (although I’ve not looked too deeply into it) so just wondering if it works on Chun. Its apparently only possible from this combo set up and is very hard to time…
As I said it seems to be like the Cammy one of Aliounes as seen here…

This one is def legit I’ve had it done to me by a Cammy I play against and as Alioune found it you’d expect nothing less lol
If you’e unsure why its unblockable in both cases its cos regardless which way you block it will hit,so if you block it as a cross up it hits the front and if you block it normal it crosses up, add the OS ruffin kick on top for a good OS

The Cammy unblockable is actually blockable if you block it REALLY REALLY late. I don’t know about the Cody unblockable though, I don’t see many Cody players, and I see even fewer who are any good with him, so I’ve never had this done to me before.
I’d like to ask for a piece of advice. When I watch some videos of much better player than me with inputs I see their inputs for Legs or Ex Legs to have many leg inputs.
I suspect there’s some plinking to it as some of the videos show the exact pattern for it but I wonder if there’s a “trick” to do it. Not only that but as I’m not 100% used to my recently purchased stick I have trouble with it sometimes.
Just as an example, after df lk as an anti air a good way to follow up is to EX Legs but a fast input is crucial for it to work.
Or also after EX legs, dash into another EX legs for some more damage.
Anyone has a tip on how to buffer it quick enough ?
Yeah the Cammy one is a 1 frame block I believe which is still pretty tough
I’m gonna see if I can get some games in against the above Cody (if I can) so I’ll let you know how practical it is, if not then the the good Cody I know will hopefully get this down
Also at the above post I do dash EX Legs by simply dashing then mid way through her dash I just slide 2 fingers from lk to rh and back down really fast, it works everytime but isn’t exactly sophisticated

I hate sliding, it hurts my fingers. =[
What I do is I piano down, HK~MK~LK, 3K 3K during the dash. It’s always worked for me even though I know it’s probably not the most effective way of doing dash-up EX Legs.
just drum from hk~mk~lk X 2 while dashing. The key to this is making sure your doing this while your dashing not afterwards.
