Chun-li is dope

I use the same team, actually, but for the opposite reason. I found that Polimar was a great assist for my Chun. But anyway, I can cancel into spinning bird kick no problem, but that combo you mentioned is very weak in comparison to what Chun’s capable of. You’d be better of doing a combo out of launch, or a C-legs combo. All the same, it sounds like your just doing your cancel too slow if it’s missing. Just cancel out of 2C as quick as possible.

On another note. I’ve been dicking around with resets and I’ve found that the best and most ambiguous options come from performing your last rep of the loop as: j.C, jump cancel, air-dash forward, j.C, jump cancel, air-dash forward j.B, and then going for things like cross-up j.Bs or recross-up j.Bs, or aerial cross-up j.C’s directly into another loop, et cetera so on and so forth. I have a few of the resets recorded and I’ll finish recording them when I get home. I’ll probably have the vid posted up by 8PM EST or so.

finished my combo and reset video for chun

Good stuff there Zach.
I really liked it.

Nice Chun video zach. Maybe could have used some corner combos, but the resets portion was pretty cool. Cool stuff

Funny that you mention that, I was going to show the ‘j.B, falling j.C’ loop starter in the corner and the cornered spinning bird loop (I can only get 3 reps myself), but I dropped my camera in a cup of Sprite after I finished recording the resets. No kidding. That’s why the final combo and the final reset are weaker variants, I was going to rerecord better ones before I nearly ruined my camera. It’s working now, but… yeah. I’m thinking of redoing most of my vids anyway.

Very good video. Thanks Zach.

whats this SBK loop youre talking about? how can you do it?

In the corner, combo into C-legs out of 2C/3C or Super, then do j.B(slight delay)C xx C spinning bird. You should be able to loop the [j.B(slight delay)C xx C-s. bird] 2-3 times. There may be other ways of performing it that allow for more loops, but I haven’t given it much attention to be honest. You can even combo off of aerial spinning bird kick mid-screen - a combo I forgot to record for the vid was… ground chain, 3C xx C-legs, j.B, falling j.C xx C spinning bird, dash 5B, 3C, blah blah blah. It’s a very temperamental combo, you have to time it just right.

Thanks for your answer. I’ll just try and cancel faster. I know my combo is weak but I was just trying to chain 2C-SBK.

By looking at your videos, I see I have a lot more to learn for Chun, thanks !

Man I found that spinning bird kick loop in the corner as well. Combo looks mad silly haha. Sucks about your cup of sprite man I look forward to more stuff when you get around to it though!

I made a basic combo tutorial for her lvl.1 super into air combo. Its not the best video quality and its probably Chun’s easiest combo, but it might help somebody:

Awesome video. Gotta hit that training room.

Just picking up Chun/Jun, are there any good combos they have together? They don’t have to be basic, I’m just looking for some good stuff.

I don’t use the team myself, but Jun’s assist is universally good for extending ground chains. So something like 2A, 2B, 5C, call Jun, j.air-dash+B, 2A, 2B, 5C… should work. You might want to check out videos of Justin as well, because he uses Jun/Chun and shows off a lot of good stuff w/ Jun on point. Particularly, Chun’s usefulness in Jun’s pressure, mix-up and resets.

heres a quick question that i dont think i noticed. how many reps of chuns old infinite are allowed? i finally got an arcade stick today (:pray:hallelujah:pray:) and was messin around with it. since im finally now able to use a stick again i know im still awkward so i keep dropping them at 12 or so hits provided i start with cC xx C legs. so thats about three reps. i figured id ask that before i go into my next observation.

The lightning legs infinite: (in corner) 2C/3C/super xx C-legs, [2A, 2A, 5C xx C-legs, dash], repeat brackets? If that’s the one your talking about then 3 reps is my personal best in UAS as well.

If you mean the j.C loop then she can get up to 4-5 reps on normal characters after a C-legs starter, but I can only combo a launcher follow-up off of 4 reps max, and that’s really difficult. My go to combo is 3C/super xx C-legs into 2-3 j.C reps into launcher or resets.

yeah i was talkin bout the lightning leg infinite. im actually at four reps now :woot: thats dedication  im trying to figure out the max set of loops it will allow because personally i think its still in the game and ill say why i think that.

first i noticed that the faster you do do C legs from cancelled move the faster she recovers.
i was able to get a sB in off one of the dash ins when i thought they were getting too high and it comboed. lastly looking at it sometimes chun dashed slow and sometimes she dashed fast so im thinking i was unknowingly doing that dash glitch in between some reps. till i get use to my stick i cant say for sure but if its not in its not in no loss to a guy who was playin on pad  thinking about it i kinda sounds like more work than its worth.

also not sure if its been mentioned but you can combo off chuns level three on the ground if your back is in the corner. so far all i can get in to do an air combo but its very plausible to get into her jumping loops to rebuild meter and position her.

man! i cant dash after hit the jb> jc on the 2c>c legs> jb> jc> air dash> combo… wanna help?? i think i have to jump and then do the dash or no?

Right. You jump in between the jC and airdashing. Basically an IAD.

So like 2c>c legs> jb> jc> :u::r::3p:> jC
