lol the curse of playing different versions of the same character and game  Its only bad in panic moments or clutch moments, like earlier I did cr. fierce xx legs but sliding (or should i say tried lol). Most of the time I only suffer to match up knowledge, still practice will help… Also hey dude been a while, hope your all good!

Oh god! I am playing like SFIV. The linking lights, back dashing, crouch teching. Thanks 4neqs, now I really see how bad it is. Lol

And I rarely use df+mk, so slow and not safe at all. Sometimes I’ll use it during v-trigger or to close in, but mostly just no.

So the upcoming patch has the following changes to Chun:
During V-Trigger activation, the hit stop and block stop has been made the same for multi-hitting moves (medium or heavy attacks for both normal and special moves).
She was previously able to perform option selects involving standing HP into Houyokusen, so this has been removed.

What do you think this means for her V-Trigger combos?

Alpha 2 Chun Li is easily my favorite

Bleh I though hit confirmable st. FP->Super in v-trigger was a feature not an oversight : (

How is that an option select though? Somehow buffer super with something else?

Wait, I don’t get the reason for the change?

V Trigger combos should be the same. They’re just equalizing the hit stop so the game freezes about the same on hit or block when using it. Won’t affect combos much if at all.

I never really did any OS stuff with her s.HP any ways. I just use it to confirm on counter hit or whiff punish into super.

Block option selects mean doing the move but when you press the button it won’t come out on block but will come out on hit just because of the timing you press the button. If they buff the on block hitstop buffer it will remain hit confirmable (i like) otherwise they nerf the hit hitstop buffer and it won’t be.

Some dudes on Twitter and Eventscrubs are gon’ be like…

By the way, the Hard mode Survival strategy also works on Hell mode.
Tried it once, and beat it right away. Fair warning though, it’s really, really boring. Takes around 45 minutes to complete.

What strategy? The one @flighflighflugit and @Darklightjg1 suggested?

Probably the v-skill heavy one. I was watching the video and it looks like a much cheaper strategy than what I was doing because the AI is not even responding to it until it’s too late and positioning for it seems less risky.

So after a few days learning the all the tech, I have no idea how to play her

Zero Chun neutral game outside of Footsies

Can’t say I don’t love this execution challenge

How essential would you guys say IA Stomp is for Chun’s game? I’m having a really hard time doing it. IA LL and bnb mk sbk combo I have down tough.

I can do the IA stomp but instantly canceling into legs from that is baffling my hands for some reason. Being able to do it would help me stuff Ken and Ryu on wakeup more

Why is that? Shouldn’t their DP beat it out due to being invincible?

It whiffs on MP Shoryuken to the point you can still punish. On LP and HP it stuffs it. Likewise you could do her v-skill as they are rising and actually get the v-skill to go the same direction as the whiffed reversal for a crush counter combo as well.

Maybe my interpretation of it is off, but the way that reads Chun has an OS similar to this using her medium and heavy attacks in V-Trigger, except it activates Super.
