Yes, it’s easy for me to say, because I’ve supported the 3s scene more than some people in CF ever have.
Stop trying to make it seem like that I think I’m better than everyone else. When the 3s community decides to stop being scared of Justin and others and actually enters a tournament, then I’ll be more receptive to playing casual (not talking about you here, since youve actually entered, so dont take offense)
I’ve entered way more tourneys at CF and otherwise than the people that play 3s at CF on the regular, and I don’t even practice in casual, ever.

well i just wish justin and company would play more casuals… there r no chuns at cf. if ppl saw a good chun then there could be a choice between playing him or not (so far there is no choice since he is absent mostly). why enter a tourny where some stranger just pops out of a corner of ny just to take folks money?! there is no previous knowledge fighting a good chun or justin in cf… NONE AT ALL. even if he picked someone else it doesnt matter, top players in cf dont do casuals so its up to the regulars who come weekly to get better alone.
when i tourny play i want more games than just my 2 sets then i face someone like u top players. i wanna be prepared and i dont wanna get peaced out by someone who trains secretly. the ranking battles were supposed to be for the 3s community to get better (ny 3s community = regulars who show up and play) … not an opportunity to make money off less experienced players (thats all what tourny play is). no one will put up money to play someone (or a character) they have no previous experience playing cus the results will be the same everytime. a monthly tourny isnt enough to get better. the price to enter the tourny shouldnt be more than the amount of games played in the tourny as well, here’s why…
remember the sbo qualifiers in jersey? i got money and i went… u know who i played in the tourny? a total of 2 completely new players from jersey (the rest were byes). then when it came down to it i got peaced out by henry and flash… i traveled to jersey just to get eliminated by players I SHOULD HAVE regularly played against locally. u think thats fair that i gotta pay EXTRA money just to play those ppl? i dont think its fair… the casuals there were 100 TIMES more entertaining than the tourny cus i played so many ppl. ppl might say casuals rnt serious play, but if thats all u have then it becomes serious.
i just got mad cus u said ppl r trash… from the ppl who play there and the folks i chill with they all wanna get better. they really do and we are getting better! and for me if i see u, eddie lee, henry, john or justin playing 3s i jump at the chance and pour all my money i have at the time to play. i know its the same for other ppl there. we r just trying to get better. if u top players were apart of the local comp wouldnt that strengthen everyone AS WELL AS yourselves?? if someone wants to be a pussy and avoids playing a top player casually LET THEM, but by not playing casuals that only weakens and slows the growth of players who could get so much from playing u guys.
tourny play is so different cus there is NO preparation for it other than the players who regularly play at cf. u top players travel everywhere and play in so many places but wont grace us at all with simple casual play in your hometown arcade (flash does sometimes)… if u streak the ppl who wanna get better will keep on playing (i know i do!). i havent played justin in YEARS but i see him at cf almost everytime i go there (thats sad isnt it?). money shouldnt be what u play for, it takes money to play in the first place why must money be such a dominant factor?
flash says he killed the 3s scene a couple years back by getting huge win streaks so no on wanted to play him anymore… that i know is tru, but it wont happen now cus there r MORE players who wanna get better now than there was before. insted of me playing him for a whole hour or so and him getting bored of remy there r other players putting up a quarter to learn!
we dont all have to be friends with eachother, just be strangers that come together and enjoy a game. if u think the scene sux here the blame doesnt belong to the players who actually come out and play regularly. the blame falls on the ppl who DON’T come out and play. a cash prize shouldnt be the ONLY reason u play someone. the blame falls MOSTLY on ppl who ONLY come out for tournies and dont play casual.

Still learning stick but there was this ken/yun user there, i’ve seen him with kofiend a couple times. he straight owned me!!
its was fun playing him, i only got one win against the guy. but thats good motivation to master stick. i was winnig till he showed up. lol

Ok i am talking from what most of us top players see at cf…justin, henry, art if im wroung please correct me =P
Top players at CF playing chun its just too easy and it gets boreing for us fighting the same players/chars over and over and over and seeing little or no improvement at CF. Why play when we only see improvement from like 1-3 players. Theres many other ways to get better than playing top players. Back then me henry, eddie and art had no jap vids and strats to copy. SRK had no 3s diss. fourms to read about and shit we had no frame data. So we learned the game from trial and error most of it and experience from 2nd impact why do you think that cab is still there for we had to play the locals back then to become what we are now.
Tourney play ANYTHING GOES expect the unexpected simple you dont know whos going to be there, you dont know how much you going to be spending being there, thats YOUR decision if you enter the tourney or not and if you think your ready for tourney play. From what i heard when a hand full went to NEC it was a whole new learning experience good for them im glad they got a feel of what we go about.
They all say they want to get better but I only heard that from 3 people this whole summer till now and 2 of them fell off the earth no where to be found. If they really did want to get better they ask us questions simple all summer no one asked any of us a question about 3s till like mid fall. Then when we tell them something NO ONE LISTENS AT CF thier all set to playing thier one style. Its pretty sad when only 2 people i know use the shit that we told them and applied it to thier game.
People at cf take casual just a little too serious imo or just dont know better.
Dont blame us after all summer till now when only like 3-5 players step thier game up in 3s. If you still playing the same way you was playing this summer simple we are going to think your trash i seen more cvs2 players at cf step thier game up in less time. Even ST the doyles step thier game up wtf is that all about.
