I heard that you like portished. Here is a tune from them that I think a lot of you would like…

More Flylo. Might have heard these on adult swim
this isnt electronic, more like eurodance. but i just found this gem that i have so many memories with, so i thought some of you might like it.
enjoy!
Not really into chillout or triphop, but in the past 5 or 6 years I’ve been really getting into electronic music in general. Big fan of Crystal Castles and Purity Ring especially:
Flyamsam
I saw FlyLo and Four Tet live last weekend. I still didnt catch up on Evo yet. Well worth it, but I wish Four Tet played this…
Youandewan
Sneaker Pimps
FKA Twigs (my favorite artist right now).
Also your boy Hyper Kid will have have a guest mix on Collective Resonance (chill hip-hop and other stuff radio show). I will post the mix when it releases. Chillout music is my shit.
Let me bless this thread right quick with a few very different songs from my collection. If you just want to sample each with good effect i’d say jump to 30 seconds on any of them to get a feel.
This song:
Just that smooth and soothing bass, fantastic.
In a room or car with respectable sound systems, the vibrations and rumbles of the melodies chill you the fuck out.
This one:
Taku has some alright tracks, but this is a beauty, starts slow but ramps up. The strumming in the background and those echoing female vocals. Great track.
This song right here:
Afta-1 is just marvelous, but this is my favorite from him, it just takes you to another place with that soft and fast start, leading you into the slow and mellow second half.
And this fucking song right here:
That nostalgic guitar just rocks you to sleep.
This one will take you off of the damn earth under the right conditions:
Machinedrum is just excellence, though most of his tracks are more upbeat, just as weird though. The vocals in the later parts of the song are just as haunting as they are soothing.
Massive Attack, Portishead and Sneaker Pimps (before they got rid of Kelli) are a must for anyone who listens to trip hop. Then you have other artists like Bjork and Beck who have dabbled in trip hop with a few tracks.
Yeah Sneaker Pimps with Kelli was dope, but I think once they dropped her their sound matured and their musicality expanded. Bloodsport and SPlinter are amazing albums, but a darker/older sound. But you can’t go wrong with 6 Underground though.
Also what about Tricky? Dude was pretty much a Trip Hop god.
