Remembering hearing their first single off the new album didn’t like it.
I don’t know which song that one was, but I’m in deep with the entire album right now.
A big reason why I really love it is because before this Parker was (masterfully) emulating 60’s-70’s sounds, with original songs, but it was still emulation. This is taking what he does best and building on to it with some unique sound, and it’s a sound I’m really into.
I was hoping he’d be going in a different direction given the last amazing song he’d put out(with Mark Ronson).
This is all indeed a jump from the usual, though the usual is undeniably fantastic.
I’ll listen to it tonight but i didn’t like what i heard because it wasn’t as psychedelic as his second album

The last few months of my life have been dominated by Flume and Chet Faker. They are so crazy talented and unique on their own, and working together they make magic:
Saw Flume live last month and was highly disappointed, but he is such a cool dude. Just watching him work is a pleasure.
