Chicks, Kicks & Flicks - The Chun-Li Video Thread

Damn those are some good ass matches. Nice Jill too btw

Not so useful trick.

Im pretty sure you can jump cancel if the opponent falls out of the HC.
It happened again last night, my friend was hit by the invisible hitbox behind her and I could jump cancel

you can jump cancel if the first set of kicks hit then the rest miss. It seems that way.

Here are a few more matches of me using Chun Li.
I’ve been using SBK lately, and it seems to be a very very good move. Thanks to Shin Shon for making me think about using it:

Just thought I’d post up my vids I’ve been putting on youtube. I main Chun Li and am pretty good with her. Check em out, you won’t be disappointed! It’s not all of them, but if you look in my channel, you can find plenty more. I’ll also be posting more too.

Chun-Li with Crimson Viper Crossover Assist Damage Combo - 1,098,000 Damage - 70 Hits - 4 Hyper Combo Gauge Stock

: D

How are you able to do her loops online  great vids though man

Because when I play any fighting game, I don’t focus on what the combos look like. Instead I focus on how they feel, so no matter if I play online or offline, muscle memory will be more active than what I’m lookin at on the screen.

Guys, here is the combo I was talking about…

Great job Brian. Mindblowing stuff there. More Chun material needed though!

mr brian kasugano, it would be ridiculously awesome if you could record your hands for dat chun combo. because that chun combo was ridiculously awesome.

Brian, I just HAD to post to say that during that last match video from 26:49 through 27:13 was absolutely beautiful to watch! You do an EXCELLENT job controlling space while not staying stagnant (the whole set not just that part).

I’ve been trying to work on my spacing more than anything lately, and this was both informative and inspiring. (I don’t play Chun on a team yet, just training a lil with her, and watching her matches so study up)

I know this may not be the thread, but do you have any short specific tips for utilizing her effectively?

Kei

Im not sure if people would be interested in watching a pad player’s hands…

Yeah man, I love that part too… Thanks
Tips for Chun Li?
Master SBK, master Hyakuretsu Kyaku, use the tri-jump to hide your assists, abuse her cr.M and cr.H. Always try to approach from the ground, since her airborne moves are not realiable.

1st, thanks for the super fast reply.

2nd, my brain just imploded when you said ‘pad player’ (though that would helpt a lot with reactions I suppose)

3rd, is that first combo you do in the video listed in the combo thread…I wouldn’t mind limbering up my fingers trying that out, however I don’t know all of Chun’s abilities so figuring it out would take a bit of work.

Keep the vids coming, they help me out a ton even if I don’t ever decide to main Chun on a team. (though I’d loooooove to cuz she’s probably the 2nd most fun to learn after Jill)

Kei

Chun Li tutorial when ultimate comes out and I work some of her new tools. Promise.

Im sorry, I dont understand what you mean… lol

i watched that video like 5 times. good stuffs Brian.
that chun combo had a reset of damage? You said it was a glitch tough.

Yes, its a glitch.
The combo resets both damage and stun scaling.
I’m gonna make a new video soon (I hope). My component cable is messed up =(

EVEN BETTER. I’m learning stick, but I gotta give respect to the controller.

lol, sorry I was just trying to see if you’d write out the notations for the combo you do at 3:26 in the video. Sorry, I was thinking it was the first combo you did, but I forgot it was the 1st combo of the 2nd match.

If they’re already written out, just point me in the direction, and I’ll find them.
