Ryu did like 5 hadokens without lowering his hands, is that a new UMvC3 thing? I haven’t touched it in about a year.

Its simple: jL -> jH -> mash H.
I am not sure if its Footdive-safe =/
I have a combo that brings the opponent down if I hit him with jH in an attempt to throw him.
Its actually easy: jH -> LL H -> jS -> LL H -> jS -> EX SBK.
You cant charge down while you are reseting the combo because you’re gonna TAC if you press jS =/

So Im working on a combo, but I suppose you can exchange the EX SBK for another LL.
I haven’t touched my game in 2 weeks, so I need to go to training mode and try something after that reset =/

This works specially well if they are holding forward to scape from the corner.
Also, there is a blockstring after this reset that will get both you and the opponent back to the ground, so you can start mixups again.
I suppose it is recorded, and my friend has 3 more videos to upload, so Im gonna wait a little longer =)

Brian, i tried go for that reset, but failed everytime. We play on laggy tv too but we’re doing our best. I really enjoy playing chun/storm/morrigan. i just don’t know if i want that team in tourney though.

Why not Chun/Storm/Akuma? I think that’s probably the strongest Chun/Storm team.

Also: With Brian’s reset combo in that recent video… if you could bring the opponent down to the ground with a Chun/Storm team you could THC them for a guaranteed KO instead of risking a TAC. Not sure if it is possible to bring them back to the ground though.

it’s possible to bring them on the ground…it’s just weird and it takes some time getting use to. I don’t like akuma’s assist for chun, i don’t want to struggle trying to hit confirm off his assist with chun. it’s good for storm though. that morrigan slow fireball isn’t so bad.

I think it’s fairly simple once you get used to it. If nothing else, you can confirm into SBK for a weaker combo.

If you don’t mind a shitty anchor then you could go with Frank West perhaps.

My rushdown looks a lot better, and I feel a lot more confident in using Hyakuretsu Kyaku as an option select for mostly everything.

Check on 23:20. I have attempted a reset, but he blocked, so I went for an air dash -> jH -> jS -> then you can get to the ground to do most things. I probably shoul have done sM -> cH -> jump loop, bu I didn’t really I was on the ground, so I did a SBK.
If the opponent blocks after the ai dash -> jH -> jS then you should mash H for H Hyakuretsu, then dash again -> H Hyakuretsu, then you’ll be on the ground again. Call an assist and rush him down again.

10:45 - It is possible to do a Kikoanken after a TK EX SBK.
12:46 - What do you guys think about Kikoanken as a bait for incoming mixups? She’ll always be in frame advantage, and it’s possible to combo afterwards…

Excellent stuff, as always. I ran into the lab, and kikanken can cross up incoming characters while still hitting them into the corner, but the hitbox doesn’t hit very high vertically. Characters with any kind of air mobility options can likely punish. Perhaps coupled with an assist?

Im thinking about using that on hard-to-mixup characters like Foot Di… errr… Doom.
Him and Dormammu dont have hitboxes on their legs while they’re airborne. Actually, they do, but they are very small
So I was thinking about a Kikoanken as a bait for Foot Dive.

Actually, all characters don’t have hurt boxes on their legs when they’re just jumping (it comes back when they fly or do a move or something). It’s just really noticeable on tall characters.

I guess the real question is how quickly does it recover? And do you get more of a benefit than, say, just firing a kikoken for them to land on when they come in?

Im pretty sure you can combo after the Kikoanken based on the height they might be after the hit.
Never tried, but Im sure that it’s possible and most likely doable =)

great videos been watching you play for a while… Ive been playing chun li since MVC2… dropped her in umvc3 for viper due to how hard her jump loop combo was for me to do… any advice on how to time her jump loops???

overall I like chun li probably more than any character on this game… I think if you didnt some tutorials for her it would encourage more people to pick her up seeing that your one of a few chun players I see doing well with her
