I don’t know if I’ll ever get to the next level. It’s not that I don’t feel like getting there or that I think I can’t, it’s just I feel like I came into the competitive scene late. I’ve played fighters since ST2 on SNES but only with SF4 have I got into it. I know I can play well but the basic fundamentals from playing competitive fighters for years is something I don’t have. It’s really awesome to play at these locals even if I’ve yet to win something, and if I ever do that’ll be more awesome. If I stick with it maybe it will just click and I’ll have the motivation to enter a major but until then I’m fine where I am.

sorry I didnt make it to any tournaments, I didnt really know the location/times until it was too late and ive been too busy visiting friends and stuff. It really shows me how much the scene has changed when all my main friends I used to play with are now doing other stuff while tournaments are going on, which causes me to miss them too cuz im too busy hanging with them heh
my girlfriend his here from Japan now so I dunno if im gonna be coming out for any game gatherings. is anything even going on from now until the 11th?
You should come out on Wednesday regardless. It’ll probably be more fun. Thursdays are messy, and there’s usually always a group of us there on Wednesdays.
So who was the long-haired Chun player that I played in casuals? I’m curious. I was the guy who bitched about Hazanshu killing my soul every time I get hit by it (seriously, fuck that move). That was seriously the best match I played during the entire time I was at FiO.

I’m kinda with Jim in the sense that, although I don’t have as much going on with my life that can take me away from games (not married, no place to call mine yet), I still don’t have all the time in the world to practice. However, I like my happy medium. I’d like to be able to hold my own against you guys, and if I can do that much, I’m satisfied. If I can beat people, even better, but I doubt I’ll get to the point where I’m winning things consistently.

Riot.EXE on Shoe-Fiends: I remember back when I lived in Houston…whenever a new edition of Jordans would drop, there would be notices on all the doors of my local mall that the Senior Citizens that normally walk the mall for exercise should reconsider that day because the mall was gonna be SWARMED with (Black*) people for the Jordans.
