Chicago: More Popular Than Porn ... The Legend Continues

no u:lovin:

well I still don’t feel too bad about buying my fat ps3 since it came with 2 games.
only thing really missing out on is a bit slimmer model and 40gb worth the space.

not like I’ll really need it anyway, so I basically break even with the games I got.

that, and I didn’t pay a dime out of my pocket for it since it was all paid for by sold wii/ds monies

MBAA casuals on Saturday

PM if interested

Here’s another: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/ps3-slim-06.jpg

I’m happy with my Phat BC capable PS3, but this is great news since it’ll get a shitload more PS3’s out there. Too bad Sony still dropped the ball big time with the god awful PSP Go, which is priced at $250. I like how the font went from Spider-Man font back to PS2-esque font. Smart move on their part.

Oh yeah, and PROPS to Sony for bringing it back to one SKU.

edit: I like how it looks. Check out these comparison shots –

Nah, nothing to feel bad about. You guys get the latest and greatest right away. I just generally don’t care for that. I got my Gamecube 13 months ago for $30. Got DS game Picross for $13 3 days ago. I did get the collector’s edition of C&C3 when it first came out, except it’s still wrapped because I don’t have good enough of a PC to play it with.

So, next goal, gather enough new PC parts and play C&C3 sometime during Thanksgiving, and then look forward to C&C4 … hehe. Then I’ll be “complete”.

Edit: Wow, the PS3 Slim looks deeper than the Phat PS3… Thanks for finding the pics Boris.

StarCraft 2 or bust.

I’ll be real impressed if the power supply will still be inside the PS3 Slim. Hopefully it doesn’t come with a brick like the 360, but it just might.

hmmmmm to buy wolfenstein or not to buy wolfenstein

DL for me.

after looking at a few more pics, I really don’t like the design of the slim.
really has no personality to it like the fatty ps3…just looks like a larger ps2 slim.

which I guess sony had to do because the ps2 still outsells ps3…they can’t kill the ps2 even if they wanted to haha.

i still keep hearing starcraft, but still nobody playing me from this thread.

Look out! It’s Super Shredder!

actually it only got a 7.3 from ign, soooooo at this point its a skip since money is tight.

I feel the same way, except the slim PS2 looks way sleeker compared to the original… while the slim PS3 just looks ugly and cheap (but I guess that’s why it’s $299 for a 100GB). I’m regardless impressed that Sony decided to make a slim version of the console.

I’m currently looking into buying a Japanese 360, but rumors of price drop next month makes me a bit reluctant to make the move right now.

For some reason, Microsoft is pulling the HDMI cable from the Elites.

Oh, AND the component cable. So only composite. Aka, no HD out of the box. Weird.

As in there will be no HDMI output in future Elites??

I’m not feeling that :arazz:

suppose it’s not that big of a selling point when you can get them for under 10 bucks, lol.

but it was a nice freebie when I bought mine a couple years back

yosh, think he means their just pulling the pack-in cables, not the actual hdmi output. that would be retarded, lol.

The output will still be there, but the cable won’t. Nor will the component cable. I just read about it. It’s retarded, because they always blasted Sony for not including any sort of HD cable in the boxes.

All it means for new customers is the hassle of either buying a HDMI cable for a couple of bucks online, or buying one at the store and getting completely ripped off.

I don’t understand why they would cut this out, nor do I understand why Sony doesn’t include an HDMI cable in their boxes. At the quantities they buy these things, it must be like $.50 or less per cable.

Oh lol, I got worried for a bit

TBH I prefer my gaming display to be a Light Brite

My SC and BW discs are back at my parents’ place, and I wouldn’t even know where to look for them. Although, I might’ve registered them on that Battle.Net thing.

Plus, I’d be beyond terrible, it would be no fun. Hah.

Do you own WarCraft 3?

All I can think of is compatibility and cost. Why put a component hd cable in a box when a good percentage of the people are going to go out and buy an hdmi cable? and vise versa. They can take them out, include it in the price drop they’ve been talking about and everyone just gets their own, w/e that may be.
