I think that’s the other main deterrent to possible entrants (at least for me). I personally would not under most circumstances want to be that close to Englewood any time after 3 PM. I value my health over Street Fighter.

GGs to all at the RanBat yestrrday. a few notes/highlight:

pleasure meeting you tuboware and remeeting parabellum
HDR was amazing/mad hype.
good shit to the sleepers that did well in SF4 singles (especially perseo, represent that cammy).
CvS2, what?! Me playing Ratio 4 Sagat like it’s 2002, what?! (i lost, but w/e it’s fun).
Teams was relly fun, we should make that a permanent fixture. not even like a points tournament either, just keep that as a side tourney and i’d be a happy man.

I am glad I had the forethought to bring the instruction manual with me this time, but I hear there are secret moves you can use that make playing much easier!

I keep dying on the same level, but I think I’ll be able to reach the final boss once I buy the secret move list from that cloaked fellow at the arcade!

So how many people showed up to the ran-bat? I was there until 1 pm then I had to go but was kind of surprised how there was no one there on time…ooh and Turboware I got a guy for you to play in hdr that will give you a good run. Next weekend ill probably hold a gathering at my place…should be good!

LoL don’t get it twisted, I suck at HDR. This was the first time I played it in at least 2 months, I just got lucky. My best game is SF4, I just played like doo doo yesterday. I plan on doing much better next month.

And CvS2 next month also, if I have time to run another side tourney for it. 2nd place is only first loser, so I’ll be ready to take first next time haha.

3s is called guess strike for a reason, people dont play that game right and rely on parries way too much which makes them bad at real SF games.

I actually was talking to Joe about that, and I said “Man, I’d say we should make CvS2 a normal game at the RanBats, but as soon as you put it on the schedule, no one would show up to play.”

Sad cuz it’s probably true. But, I’ll be more than happy to run another side tourney if there is time next time.

I was in losers bracket in the Grand finals, it was best of five (so I had to win 2 best of Five sets), and I had to play my SF4 match, and I was down 0-2, so I just let him have it. Next time, I’ll come harder.

Idea: Have no games at Dead’s ranbats as main games. Have them all as side tournies. You’ll get the most hype, random tournaments to show up. At like 1:30 PM we probably should’ve had a pizza eating money match with all the pizza left over.
