So I was talking to Jerry as he was walking home. All of a sudden I hear TONS of people talking very loud and some music in the background. Jerry says he will call me back.
5 minutes later he calls back saying he went into a bar and got a shot. LMFAO
As of MGS 2, the reason he’s Liquid Ocelot is because after losing his arm in MGS 1, he takes Liquid’s arm off his dead body and has it grafted on. Liquid’s genes and nano machines are what apparently take over Ocelot’s body.
However, much more (logical – sorta) sense on that is revealed in MGS4. You should probably play MGS 2 and 3. In my opinion, 3 is the best in the series. 1 and 3 have the least convoluted stories, that make the most sense.
well I own mgs2, but never played through it.
may pick up mgs3 if I can find it in a bargain bin for 10 bucks.
but yeah thanks for clearing that up…bit confusing going from mgs1>mgs4 lol.
You NEED to play, at the very least, MGS 2, to have any idea what the hell is going on, lol. MGS 3 is pretty much a requirement as well, but I think you’d be able to catch a good amount of what’s “going on” in MGS 4 without playing 3. But without 2, you’re pretty much screwed.
I liked 4, but it’s my least favorite in the series. The game play was fun, but that only lasts about 3 hours. The rest are movies.
I’d sell you a regular copy of my MGS 3 if you’d like, by the way. I have both Subsistence and MGS 3, don’t have much use for both. Subsistence has a reworked 3D camera system, whereas the regular has a fixed camera scheme, like the two before it. I’d give it away for like $5.
It doesn’t make a big difference in the end. In fact, the reworked camera makes the game a bit easier. But it’s definitely nicer (more like MGS4).
