I went to NEIU as well. It’s funny, because at my apartment, there are at least two cars who park in the parking lots with NEIU stickers. Seems like everyone goes there now.

Nives, to answer your question, manga kissa is always the cheapest place to stay but staying in one for like a whole week would get pretty tiresome after a while plus you cant store your stuff there. If your luggage isnt that big you could just get a storage locker at a train station and leave your packpack in there so you dont have to lug it around. Manga kissa range in price and some have showers. The cheap one I stay at is like 1000 yen for 6 hours or 1480 for 9 hours.
You could also try a capsule hotel which usually costs around 3000 yen. Some might charge extra to use the bathing area. Love hotels are also sometimes cheap. I stayed in one this weekend for 6000 yen a night and it was pretty nice. I dont know if they will let you check in by yourself cuz every time ive gone to one I was with Ryoko, but I dont see why they wouldnt let you, they just might think you are weird or something and jerking it to porn like a weirdo in a love hotel.
However, the most absolute cheapest way to sleep in Tokyo is to stay up till 5 am and then when the trains start, buy a 130 yen ticket and get on the yamanote line which just runs all day in an endless loop and just pass out on a seat on the train for as long as you like (this method is not recommended but could be used as a last resort LOL)
