I think ari’s message somehow got interpreted as “all hate inspires competition”, which I really don’t think was the message he was trying to put out. If you re-read his post you know exactly what kind of hate he’s talking about, it’s the same thing as I posted earlier, derived from competition and playing people.

Hmm, I like the thing about misplaced and undeserving egos. For me, it’s a personal thing… hating or liking someone doesn’t help my drive, but seeing a superior player and feeling the need to beat them is what does it for me.
Seriously though, if you see a flaw in my game at all and feel inclined to lend advice… I don’t give a shit if it’s the smallest thing or you just want to tell me that I fucking suck, just say it… because for me that helps.
Speaking of which, Xombie if you’re around tonight do you mind if I swing by and borrow your 360 FP, I need to practice up more for this weekend. As much as I want to finish my dual mod, I think this takes over for importance.
