I used to like going to those cons too cause they’d have a lot of TF shit I couldn’t find locally. Now with several online retailers trying to compete with each other for the best prices…I can usually just order what I want online & get it shipped for much less then any of those vendors gouge.
Also mitsuwa/yaohan used to have the best toy store in IL. True story.

wow just read a few pages of this to see if anyone needed a partner for the gw thing. Why is there so much hostillity in the chicago area? I’m from the south, where it seems everyone gets along. And Chicago was like a mecca to play games at. Sadly real life hindered me from really getting it in, but this is rediculous.
I remember coming up here from alabama to see juicy J play, and trying to up my skills to play agains fl0e and kageh and them in soul calibur II ( i rolled with mick and rtd if that rings bells) . It seems like there is no unity in the chicago area and that’s crazy. What the hell? Seems like with a nationally known player like fl0e , eveyrone would be unified and trying to up there skills so there wouldn’t be like 2 known chicago players, (that bb player is pretty good).
I dunno just throwing in my 2 cents. I’m gonna try to get serious in sf4, and all this stuff, not to mention the stuff in the gameworks tourney someone linked me to is a bit discouraging for the new, and the old (been around since before this site was even here travelling and tourney’ing) . Someone should pm me the ppl to avoid so i don’t get caught up in any drama and such. Anyway good day.
