Nah, I think as long as it is not excessive, it is ok right? There has to be some sort of non-fighting-games conversation going on at some point, once in a while, otherwise, I’d characterize this thread without any sort of “flavor” or character and it’ll be just…dull.
BTW, back to the subject. Since I’m a PS3 newbie, how come when I play network battle, it shows tons of people online but without bar, and then I enter anyway and more than half of the time I can still get in, and it connects to 3-4 bars (those that are English anyway). Is that initial screen that shows 3 people somewhat faulty? The past few days I’ve had better chance of getting in to those that show no bar (and end up with good connection) than finding people with 3-5 bars from that initial screen. Weird…

Your game is solid but yeah that match is dumb for vega. The only tips I could give is maybe throwing out EX wall dives for fireball wakeup-traps, and not giving space. Walldives are too easy to dance around and punish with s.fierce, stick to his great range with the normals, get a knock down, then start the guessing game.Edit. And with the teleporting, the reason you cant grab me is because I’m doing and instant-air teleport, jargon for buffering the input for teleport before the jump. Since his recovery from air teleports is so baller he can attack right away. 99% of the time that I telport next to you that is what I’m doing, so you’ll never get that grab. Also, block high.

Neutral jump and st.jabs are both good, boilerplate ways around IAT that any char can do. FA is not smart if I have a fireball out, even then you need good timing or else I can just block, or you just hit me out of the air. You also run the risk of doing FA too early facing the wrong way, me teleporting around you and getting buy one get one free shit.

In my few games with Konkrete, I noticed that if he teleported right next to me, I can hit him out of them with Blanka’s close fierce punch. I assume you can stuff him with one of Vega’s pokes if you’re quick enough … ?
