haha i dont. I was just sayin if i wanted to.
GG’s last night guys at GW’s! Even though I was last nights punching bag lol. I did start getting used to the stick towards the end of the night. Hopefully my execution tightens up w/ more practice there. Got BB yesterday as well hit me up on PSN:AWDdsm. Great times!
arukane is like top 3 in the game
meta ya like hit me up tonight if you wanna play first to 10 or something
Think it’s all just a matter of opinion of how you personally learn/get accustomed to a game. After messing around with characters a bit, I can say I’m easily going arakune or v-13 once I learn the game engine basics and movement. But I’m not doing that until I’ve spent at least a month or more with ragna.
Having a base character that’s solid to start with so you can learn the engine and how some of the other characters attack is definitely how I adapt to a new game. Trying to pick an interesting/difficult character and getting raped off the bat usually turns people salty and forces them to want to pick another character anyway (isn’t that why we’re discussing this to begin with?).
gg’s to that lolilover andy last night. 5:30am blazblue WAT.
nice noel dude you need to pick that shit up for your 360 so you can practice now
I started with Sol in GG until I hit a plateau (since I didn’t think I was growing with that character), so I branched out with Anji, Ky, and Zappa. Until I stuck out with Ky and Zappa at the end.
I’d say, it is really relative to your fighting game IQ. There are some people who just “get it”, and some people who don’t.
On an unrelated note, I think I’ve really, really lost my will to “fight”, concerning fighting games. I’m having a hard time getting into BlazBlue when I thought I may like this better than SF4… I need to be inspired to play, or something…
I just play who I think looks cool. Not much more than that for criteria, though if a char’s too weird I might not be able to get into them. I’m really liking ragna so far though… he seems to be a mash of sol/order sol and slayer in terms of range and functionality, and a dragon install that’s not useless! I liked what I saw of Jin and Nu too, from the hour or so I’ve played.
On another note, I got a 360 used from a friend, so I can finally practice and play some games online. No stick yet though, so pad warrior’ing it up for a week or so until I get it. Feel free to add me or hit me up on AIM if anyone wants to play BB. (Only game I got atm.)
Good games to everyone I fought in KoF XII at Gameworks yesterday (I was the black kid in all black witha white spider on his shirt using Ash, Terry, Iori), and then good times at Jim’s.
Then answer me this:
Do you think that if you used Arakune or Nu from the start, that you would be just as good, if not better than if you switched to them?
Also, you say you want to get used to movement, but Arakune moves very very differently from Ragna, so you’re really getting used to how Ragna moves, not really how Arakune moves.
I’m just saying that just because you’re getting raped off the bat doesn’t mean that you should automatically quit your character and play an easy character until you “understand the game”. IMO, you can either do it, or you can’t. Playing Ragna for a few weeks won’t automatically be able to make you play Arakune if you didn’t already have the potential to do so. If you can play Arakune after a month or so of Ragna, then IMO you probably could have played him off the bat and done just fine.
And I’m not saying just stick to one character, but why not play both Ragna and Arakune off the bat? Get used to both early.
blazblue’s system isn’t overly complex either…
I remember reading somewhere in the BB thread: You don’t learn BB, you learn a character in BB. The mechanics are easy. If you’ve played GG at all you’ll know about that already, but everyone plays so differently that if you’re looking at someone, you might as well just pick them and play.
I think I may skip my party this evening and come to the gathering. I want to get better at sf damn it.
Agreed, I dunno why the fuck everyones crying over the game when the system itself can pretty much be learned ina day.
Now the character, that itself takes time, that’s when you have to sit down get use to the feeling of how the characters movement, normals, specials, combo’s find the strengths and weaknesses than just take it from there.
Honestly not fucking hard at all. Grow a brain kids.:bluu:
I mean if you got the the time to sit here and lurk around SRK with retard posts that are either about crying/spam/Shoes and anything GD involved. Than you obviously have the time to go look up a Thread about your character.

1-4. Lol!
LOL.
Damn Floe is flowing with truf this thread.
In other words. sounds like everyone is jumping onto BB pretty much. I hope SF4 dosent die cuz of it. I still wanna see some good comp. i cant wait till I can get out to a GW gathering too. Sounds like you guys are having a good time… but im such a cheapass… I dont like the idea of paying to play arcade style anymore… even if it is against the best (or better) players.
Also Frankie, your prolly the youngest person in this thread, dont refer to your elders in such a demeaning way.
Turning your money
Into J-Money
Naw, if anything bb will die.
Dont waste your wishes on the impossible
My God, there were like fifty people at Gameworks last night for SF4. STREET FITAH FO.
I agree and disagree with Webster. Hakumen is freakin’ awesome. However, I think saying “Hakumen OWNS!!!1” is better than saying “Hakumen WINS!”
Oh, and I’ll be at D’s tonight with a full setup for SF4 or BB. Whatever peeps want.
HAKUMEN FIGHTER 4: I GOT PAID!!
GG’s to everyone I played at GW last night (mostly Marvel…and the 2 matches of SF4 I played).

P.S. I love those Marvel sticks. Real talk.
btw rob and airic…the advice i gave earlier in this thread was more of a “this is my way of learning new games” type thing…wasnt specific to bb…and wasnt saying it would work for everyone… was just saying it was my way…but i do agree that bb is kind of a different beast in that each character is pretty unique and kinda plays their own game rather then them all playing bb…but i would still say for the most part besides a few exceptions that a lot of chars are still “playing bb” and those were the chars i was suggesting originally
