23 on the 29th
yes, I’d prefer people to wish me good execution instead of good luck. may the execution gods favor me, so I can OTKill.
So my 360 fightpad is bustimicated, awesome. Time to go buy some epoxy and try to do some fixing.
Also, is anyone doing anything this weekend. I’m down for a gathering or anything really, gaming or not.
I want to do something this weekend.
I might host some games later this week. Still not sure.
Vicioso- hit me up via pm with info.
Esoulz- hit me up here or call my cell to let me know whats good with the 360.
I was thinking of watching the evo live stream over at ign. Might have a few people over for that as well. Maybe we can all get together and watch this and evaluate matches in general? What you guys think?
just rip that shit apart and use the pcb to create a stick. the fighpad pcb’s are supposed to be very clean, common ground, and easy to wire up.
stop being a pad warrior today!
also to anyone hoping for kof release on the 20th (current gamestop release date), be prepared for another week of waiting. official word is the 28th. http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?p=7082761#post7082761
bravo on a month of delays, snk
think this puts a bit of a damper on the people that have been excited for it, but some will probably still pick it up. snk fanboys say all you like, but at least capcom and aksys can deliver when they set release dates. if netcode still sucks on this game, it’s gonna pass by like it never even happened.
I’ll still play XII. Thankfully, BB is fun enough to keep me occupied in the meantime.
i ordered from him. my experience was good. i do recommend him.
I’m mostly a lurker in this thread, but I can definitely recommend the hauppauge 1212 HD PVR. It goes for about 200. It captured these videos; great quality, especially if you load the hd version, then do the “&fmt=22” framerate code:

would anyone be able to tell me if there are any 360 to ps3 converters that dont lag?
I don’t think there is such a thing.
Also - converters are converters. Even the Pelican converters aren’t completely lagless like some people claim them to be. In the end, you should invest in a stick specifically designed for whichever systems you need it for.
previous threads have discussed the Inpin converter
but yeah I’m of the same opinion that there is no converter that is lagless. still might as well get something good
so anyone see this yet? http://kotaku.com/5313949/street-fighter-iv-characters-swap-moves-faces
is Zangief Moe now?
wired stick/controller too.
the bs that wireless can create (especially in tournament setting), and additional wireless lag isn’t worth the benefit of not being corded to the system.
imo, anything wireless should be banned in or around tourney play just for the chance it could interrupt a match in progress. had it done to me personally, not fun for either of the people participating in the match.
I think I may just cannibalize my ps3 fightpad (switch the backing rubber pad out) for now and send in one of them with the busted pad claiming it as broken to madcatz. The turnaround is suppose to be pretty quick (8-10 days). Hopefully I’ll have the ps3 version back again in time for FIOIII.
And yeah… when I took mine apart it was a pretty clean and spread out PCB, it would be ridiculously easy to wire up if I wanted to make a stick out of it.
Although I can blatantly tell that it failed somewhere in the factory and they had to rewire shit, you can see where they cleaned the flux after they resoldered. It’s a clean resolder job, but it’s pretty fucking blatant that it wasn’t off the line ready.
I do want to eventually learn stick, but everytime I use one it just doesn’t feel right. My dexterity has always been in the thumbs since I hardly went to arcades.
And I agree with the wireless comment, I really hate that I have a wireless controller for ps3. It makes me nervous every time I turn the thing on in the chance it may pause someone’s match.
I think I may start looking if I can retrofit it to have a wired connection
inpin is ps2 to ps3 not 360 to ps3
Just stopped at Woodfield Gameworks on my lunch to see if anyone was around for a few rounds of SF4. They installed a Tatsunoko vs Capcom machine while I was there. Just wanted to give everyone a FYI.
I had it at fausty frostings and no one complained about lag when HDR was running with it on my cab.
Same at MWC when people were playing HDR on my cab again.
Its good and is as close to lagless as your going to get (aka pelican converter level).
wow i cannot wait to play there tomorrow. anyone else going on weds night?
Thursdays normally, but if enough people show on wed. I’ll show.
I’ll go if anyone else is down…hell, I’ll go after work tonight.
