They do a national ranking system based on tournament results (submitted by tournament organizers), as well as a forum with tournament announcements, regional matchmaking, and character forums. They also run their own online tournaments weekly on both PSN and XBL. There is a chat room as well.

Webs : Chill man! You picked an insanely hard character to start with. I’ve seen two types of Hakumen online, the paicent ones who parry everything, then the very scary rushdown who abuse the hell out of his gauge moves.
Don’t rely on the C button to save your bacon, try using his drive alot more learning what it can and cannot beat (Jin’s 4D, Arakune’s Bugs). Also, remember his parry is super safe against supers, and that his air dash ia one of the best in the game.
Use his parry alot more around half gauge, catching with his 4D (throw parry) to super does some insane damage.
At FIO3 I can show you a few tricks with him to hopefully keep you playing.

Ok. We’re buds. You know this. The text in Bold pretty much contradict each other. You’re saying GG’s… but then your distaste for the game (as of now) cancels that. Dude, the game just came out. Everyone has to level up. Same goes for me. I’m playing like an elementary school kid right now. But with time, everyone including myself and you will be better. Just keep at it.
Super patients is not your style… but isn’t that competitive FG 101? Be patient and punish accordingly?
And how conveniently did you post your hate for this game after our games… I’m just saying.
Give the game more than a week. Try to learn it. And in no time you’ll be a winner. Just don’t let your losses be the sole reason for hating the game. Losing is a part of the learning process.

I like hakumen. He’s fun to mess around with. Sword eats projectiles, and his 6D counter is instant, unlike his other ones, so you can use that in block strings. His whole schtick is that he’s patient and does an assload of damage though, hence why his meter fills up by itself. The longer you run away from hakumen, the faster you die when he hits you. (Well, if he hits you.) Also, his 6A has head invincibility, 623A has upper body invincibility, and his 6B has foot invincibility. So mixups aren’t a problem, but runaway is, so nu’s are probably trouble, and make sure bang doesn’t bang install.
Jim: That’s actually a pretty good idea. Never thought of buying only the 360 arcade if I already had the other parts I needed. It seems to be working again so far though, I just have to make sure to turn it off after some hours instead of leaving it on for 11+ while I do other things, so I think I can hold off on that for the time being.
Still need to pick up a copy of Blazblue…
