actually, it seems like ppl are abandoning ship. because i want the zens AND the tan yeezy’s, i’ve personally passed up on a lot of former grails…but i can tell you that i’ve seen the following go for pretty low prices in the past few months because of the recession:
espos (not sb’s, but still a grail)
bisons
supreme lows
lucky’s
hufs
hunters
rayguns
unkles
etc.
everybody is selling. its a buyers market right now but nobody is even buying because they either don’t have the money or are holding out for the next yeezy release.
also, as far as dunk sb’s, sb’s are dead as far as new releases. with the exception of gucci hi’s which drop later this year, all the new releases are garbage. nobody is checking for those. everybody is rocking multicolored shoes now so even the older releases don’t catch as much attention as they used to. everybody is a sneakerhead nowadays, seemingly…the whole “sneakerhead culture” is dying because of resellers, fake ass limited releases done on purpose and shops overcharging.

I’m pretty much getting rid of the rest of my Nikes. The new SB colorways aren’t just appealing to me anymore. Not only that, but prices for the 02-04 stuff (my years of grails) skyrocketed. I’ve gone through SB’s, co.jp, Pro B’s, OG fat tongues, all that stuff. And now, I seem to be only wearing the same pair of Eras everyday. Money and time pretty much lead to my lost of interest. Oh, and the shit that you see on MTV. That just killed it.
But yeah. People grow. Styles change. Fads go in and out. That’s just how it is.
yea i think everyone are into straps and multi colored kicks. plus some shops are overpricing on the sb releases but i manage to get shit retail price maybe $5-$10 more but nothing crazy.
i gave up on sbs in 05/06.
I honestly think Dunks might have reached the end of its lifespan. Blazers are the new Dunks anyway, but I wonder how long that would last also.
I’m back to retro J’s (mainly I, V and III) as my focus.
i agree with blazers being the new thing. i only have one pair and prob the only pair i will have at this point. yeah i’m slowly getting back into classic jordans.(1-6) but i’m getting mad that they are whoring out the 1s tho.

i have to disagree with blazers being the new/next thing or being popular.
its like we’re in a transition phase…sb’s are dead, jordans are dead…nike is whoring out bad quality retros in ridiculous colorways and sb’s are dead because they’re not stuffing the tongues and the cool colorways and materials aren’t being used anymore. the collabs are uninspired as well.
ppl are starting to move on.
the yeezy’s are sort of refreshing but i still wish kanye got the sole he wanted…it would have looked like a new sneaker then. instead it looks like a mix of different jordans. oh well…its the closest thing to mcfly’s we’re getting.
