Yup.
The layout is reversed because I tend to control the joystick with the left hand and the buttons with my right. It’s how I started and I am not going to change it any time soon. Unfortunately, given the material, there are only so many positions where I can place either.
Plus, the fact is I’m more comfortable with it in a vertical positions, so that the stick is between my legs…

I didn’t realize that, until I read some of your posts on another forum on your Noel Vermillion dakimakura stick (found via a google search) of what exactly you mean when you play it in a “vertical position”. I always thought vertical (joystick-wise) meant still having the stick casing flat on a table, but with the joystick/buttons one directly in front of the other (rather than the side-to-side of a regular stick). I didn’t realize that you played using the stick “like a cello”. Very unusual, but very interesting.

Wait, isn’t that how everybody plays with a regular layout?
Or did you mix up right and left.
@d3v
See my message above. I found out on another forum that @Epi plays with the “casing” standing vertically, and he hugs it from behind like a cello, and wraps his arms to the front to play.

Decided to make a hitbox out of a USPS priority box
Inspired by previous poverty builds.
Covered in reflective tape which was tough enough to provide support.
Modified this Hitbox template to Astro City layout.
Originally was going to use a PS1 DS solderless PCB I had laying around for who knows how long, but it was literally the worst thing to work with. In the end I switched to a PS1 digital PCB.

And Luweewu - interesting. I was debating on making a new hitbox, but didn’t want to expend resources. How does it feel?

That’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
I can see you just waltz away into the moonlight while dominating a match.
Perfect form. 10/10.

Hi everyone,
Art’s tek-case in pearl, JLF stick and OBSN buttons, Neutrik USB port and PS360+ board. In this version, all white LED illumination. “Prvi sneg”, meaning “the first snow” in Slovene.

First thing to keep in mind is that it’s small, comparable to the Hori Mini stick in form-factor. Coming from a HRAP2, it makes it odd to play on my lap. Closing your legs if you sit wide-legged solves this though. There’s also nowhere to rest your wrists on if you’re used to doing that.
Another would be that it’s light; mine weighs in at 9.5 oz. I don’t find this a big issue personally, but it’s something to keep in mind. What was more important to me was weight distribution as the right-side is weighed down by the extra buttons, which is why I put the PCB on the lower-left to even it out.
You’d also want to have some sort of anti-skid bottom since it’s so light and smooth, especially since I covered the bottom with reflective tape. I used some shelf liner I got from a local grocery store and works well on all surfaces, so using it on your lap, floor, or table is no problem. Picture of the bottom:

The one thing I regret doing was cutting the top lip too far in so that it wasn’t supported by the front of the box. This causes the top to bend inward a bit when pressing up. If I make another one, I’d make sure to leave more of a lip past the front as it was fine before cutting. Reenforcing the back of the top may help with the issue as well.
so many interesting sticks lately
i have a few i want to show but apparently my phone doesnt like srk so i cant seem to get the images to work. or my computer apparently.
edit: ill do it the old way. Korean stick i got and modded for tekken but i use for pretty much everything. Tweaked taeyoung fanta stick and crown buttons. ZD encoder cause im cheap. All the parts (minus the pcb-that came from ebay) came from laugh via etokki.com so shout outs there. Works perfectly.

i dont have a kinkos near me, a local print shop said adhesive vinyl would work just as good, would that work?
In my opinion, Adhesive vinyl is better than lamilable.
Use the same wet method people use to install tint onto automotive windows
Its pretty much what Jasen Hicks of Jasen Customs demonstrate on one of his Tank sticks

One thing I never seem to see people do is seal a lamilabel or vinyl overlay.
If you want it to be permanent (and not fray at the edges after extended use), just give it two coats of clear coat.
thanks to this thread specifically I had a go modding my TE stick. Think it came out looking pretty good, just need to paint the bezel a different color!
thanks darksakul:)
will post here when this thing is finally done
