Yeah, Unfortunately the only ps2 extension I could find was blue
That is one sweet case BJ. The art matches the case. You even got lucky in the corners it looks like the grain patterns match up well. I did a cable mess with cable ties and it was a monster. Your solution with the braiding is elegant and one that I might have to emulate in the future. Only one thing missing, guess I need to get busy. :wgrin:

Burl is some very expensive wood but man does it look soooo nice. Simply outstanding work on this stick butteroj, everything matches up just beautifully!
very nice stick, i love the finish of the wood and the braiding of the cables
Ladies and Gentlemen, Iād like to present the wonderful custom cases my friend Elis has started to make.
Here you can see the face of the stick. Sanwa joystick with 8 Seimitsu buttons. The joystick is spaced a bit farther away from the buttons as compared to a TE, but I view this as a good thing. I donāt like having cramped wrists.

On the top side, youāll find a usb port. The buttons there are the select, guide, and start buttons (in that order). Again, the handle makes a return!

A nice little angle shot. The top was wood stained with golden oak. On the sides, an ebony stain was used.

The only thing I could think of that would do this stick justice would be a dual wireless mod without a physical switch. Donāt mind the cell phone cover. My phone battery died twice during Seasonās Beatings 4 this weekend. I forgot to bring my phone charger, but luckily I had a usb lithium ion charger in this mod. I merely left the cover in the case so I wouldnāt lose it.

This is the case Elis is making for himself. Painted metalic blue. Same color he painted his AE86. Happs concave buttons and a happs joystick. He managed to take off the bat top and drill a hole into a golf ball to fit it onto the shaft. I got to admit, its a nice touch, a bit odd though. Weird having a ball top without having a square or octo restrictor.

Inside is empty, Iāll be wiring up a sixaxis board for him. Heās still got a few more things to do before its finished.

If anyone is impressed with his cases, I can get him to start making and selling custom cases for others. Donāt worry, heās able to make cases with polycarb tops to allow custom artwork.
Holy crap Gum! Thatās some mad wiring son! Nice job.

I also got lucky and found a local Namco PS1 stick for sub $20 in great shape. Working on putting together some cash so I can swap the parts out for Sanwa.
Yo man, how did you get that dope paint job? Congrats on the stick, looks great!
Pretty simple. Windsor Newton Acrylic paints in a tube. Blue, White and black and dry brushed it on trying to get a granite feel. Airbrushed black fade from botton to top. Then clear coated in clear blue Tamiya thru my airbrush. From there i clear coated it 5 times with car paint from duplicolor and then polished and waxed it for that sleek shine.
hard to see in my pics, but its a clear blue plastic look in person.
Butter it looks like youāve hit the majors bro that thing is Pimped!! Your choice on the miter cut gives it a real vintage/antique look, great pick on the burl. What was the construction process like working with burl ? Awesome stuff man!
HAHA Thanks!
It was actually pretty easy to work with. When I recieved the wood it looked like this:
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l7/butteroj/cb1.jpg
I had to let it aclimate itself to my climate for roughly 3 weeks before I could work it. I thought there would be an issue w/ the figure catching on my router but it was not a problem w/ newly sharpened bits. I think the fact that the wood isnt 100% dry helped. The dust from the wood is very fine, along the lines of padouk, and gives off the most amazing spicy smell when working. It was also surprisingly easy to sand as well. The hardest part was the finishing process. I couldnt believe that it took 13 coats to get a glossy finish.
I cant wait to do a different type of burl next. Any takers?
Thanks for the complimets. I cant wait to see it totally finished
PS3 TE Dual Mod
Here is another Dual Modded TE. It is a PS3 by default with the select button switching to 360 mode. DM done by Networkingyuppy. The stick is spring modded with a LS33 spring for more tension. The artwork and plexi are from Arthong. Iāll be selling this one in the near future. I love it but I have another stick on the way

Hey guys i have a question. I removed the insides to paint my PS3 SE case. Painted it and put the stick all together again but i get no response from the stick now. My start, select, home button, jlf nothing. what did i do wrong? I put everything in its rightful place, was i supposed to keep the guts of the SE in some special enclosure? here is my progress so far and im hesitant to finish if i cant fix it.

did you paint the metal tabs on the QD terminal strip? Was the usb wire or any wire ripped off the pcb?
I removed everything very carefully, didnt force anything i can take closer pix so you can expect it and see for yourself maybe you guys can catch something.
My Custom Stick - Sagat Art
I do not take credit for the building of this stick. I found the art, thought it was badass and picked the color scheme of everything on the stick to match the art (buttons and button rims, wood stain, knob/stick, etc.) More-or-less designed the look of the stick around the art but i also do not take credit for the art as well, was too lazy to make my own and this looked pretty sick. kudos to who painted this.
My friend chris who lives in cali (iām NY) builds shit like this all the time, from sticks to entire cabinets and so i asked if he could build me a multi console (pc, ps3, and 360) stick. will be getting this in the mail this week or next week, as he just completed it. ended up being a whole summer long project as his wife had a child and the parts were backordered, so by the time this all came full swing was a good few months later.
i am just going to post a link to the page with all the pics (there are a decent amount) as it shows pics from first assembling it and building it to the finished product. let me know what you think, cant wait to start practicing with it. all parts are sanwa.
Nice, I really like the color scheme of those buttons!
