Hey, do any of ya’ll know how to share internet connections with the mac on a hotel connection that has a login?
i dont understand the question. are you trying to connect to the hotel? or trying to SHARE your hotel connection through the mac to another computer?
in order to connect to the hotels internet you have to enter a password in a login screen on the internet browser of the computer your using. Seeing as the xbox doesn’t have a web browser, it’ll connect to the hotels router but I can’t enter the password.
I found a way around this, instead of connecting the xbox directly to the hotel internet. I connect laptop to the hotel internet and let the xbox share it’s connection. (sounds easy right?) problem is it’s extremely complicated, whole bunch of networking mumbo jumbo. And thats if your working with your own home router. I got it to work with my PC in the past, after weeks of trial and error. now im workin with a mac and gotta start Alll over again:sad:
I found like 5 different methods for sharing internet connections between mac and xbox but none of them account for a hotel connection… with a login. I started playing with it yesterday and figured this time around I’d ask people to see if anyone already knew instead of busting my ass like last time

John that’s a good one. The PS3 would let you do it because it has a browser. That shows you that the xbox sucks. For internet connection sharing in windows you need two NICs. do they have ports in the walls. you could try to sign in with your laptop then plug it into your xbox. Look for options online about connecting your xbox through a proxy.

All I wouldve needed was the startup page, smh. I’m about done with Xbox for a min. When I get back I’m just gonna get a PS3 slim:confused:
It probably would’ve run out of memory loading any graphics the hotel startup page might’ve had XD
