Was gonna post something up sooner about not being able to make it to anything this week as far as get-togethers and the tourneys goes. Got screwed over by work this week and didn’t have time for anything.
Should be good to game Tuesday, Thomas. Should also be good to do a tourney on the 23rd if there’s going to be one.

I might have to see if Myrtle Beach wants to come down here for Halloween instead and have our own S(k)intoberfest

really sorry i couldn;t come out the last tournament. I had to run a marathon for the mythopoetic men’s movement + steve jobs. so the next day i had bloody nips. Couldn’t leave the house because there was no way i could wear a shirt. My mom makes me tape my nips coz my nips get bloody, when the skin rips.

I know that I game on saturdays but I’m not going to be able to game today.
After only hearing about the gem system for SFxT, I was disappointed to say the least.
However, watching the NYCC trailer that introduces the gem system I have to say that things are looking more… interesting. Launchers act like low crushes, which will be familiar to Tekken players. The Super Charge system, which looked unimpressive, allows you to dash cancel the charge up. If you charge up to level 2 and cancel, the next attack is a counterhit (something for the Street Fighter players to be familiar with, think Focus Attack without absorbing attacks).
Cross Arts (level 3) also take all red life.
I’m curious as to what exactly the gems are as well as their effects/conditions. They could end up either horribly unbalancing the game, or adding another strategic dimension.
