Thomas we hit the reset button, don’t load a saved game! D:
driving an hour and a half and only coming up in the rotation twice will keep me from coming to other evening sessions out in sv/gc (just not worth the time and money to only get two turns). I’ll try to make it out there on nights y’all don’t do sets, otherwise ill have to pass after this one (c wut i did thar? c(’.'c)
But i did have a lot of fun catching up with people
Gg’s last night. Im down for 1-0 done when there are more than 3 people for ttt2 on a setup as long as people have there controller/joystick situation in line. Most matches were going down to the final round of the final set last night so it did take forever.
We’re running TTT2, UMVC3, P4A, SFAE2012, MK9, KOF13, and more with CASH POT BONUSES to the 1st place winners. We’ve had a lot of interest in the tournament latey, and you’d be nuts to miss it! If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the thread above, as well as in our TN thread.
I wanted to come out but I couldn’t. I’ll show up Saturday though. Hey Shawn can you make a Kazuya and/or Hwoarang avatar for me?
The matches do tend to run long in Tag. So I’m cool with a fast turn around as well. It’s going to suck for the loser, but It will hopefully bring out some competitive matches cause no one wants to get off.
I’m home till the 15th I’d love to come out and game with you guys… but it’s been so long I’ve forgotten the secret handshake.
Plus I only know how to play one game
Hey John go to Realms Gaming at 908 Bacons Bridge Rd in Summerville this Saturday. Casuals start at 8:30 till like 2am. We have all the games playing there. If Tekken is going to be 1 game pass the stick thats fine as long as there isnt any Salty Runbacks I’m down for it.
I am def not cool with 1 and done… That’s just dumb, and I can’t think of any community that does that… You step your game up, or it just is what it is… 5 and pass is sort of understandable, but 1 is not…
you old enough scene wise to remember how its like to play in a arcade… its was one and done at cyberstation. u put up ur token play and win or play and get busted up. shit was fast, fun, drama free… just think about it.
You make no sense bc If I win I keep playing at the arcade?? 1 and done is if you win you past the stick, and if you lose you STILL pass the stick so everyone plays, but it’s bad for growth in competition… ATL would laugh if they saw this, and we have been having casuals for years now and should know better then this… SMH I say NO, and to level up your game if you hate waiting bc 5 games are reasonable enough… P.S. P. Phoenix said NO PAIN NO GAIN!!
Yo Paul, we’re not saying that the winner has to pass. We’re proposing that the winner be allowed to stay (10-win limit), we just wouldn’t be doing sets anymore.
With the scene getting bigger + the game being new, I think that it would be a very good idea to stop doing sets for now. New players are intimidated to get on for a set because sets = serious. The only reason more than one game is being played is to “legitimize” the win. If people are just passing it after the first loss, there’s no time to get salty over losing. It’ll be their turn again in just a few moments. TTT2 rounds are also 80sec, 3/5. There’s an entire extra round compared to traditional 2D fighters.
Besides, it’ll force people to learn how to download other play styles faster instead of having the luxury of a set to figure things out.
Sets for small crowds would be cool I figure, but let’s start getting more than just the usual suspects playing Tekken
