did anyone go to exit8? i didnt get to go, and im curious about the results. are we still free or what?
At AE Ryan got 3rd, I got 4th, Seth got 5th, and Rev got tied at 7th. Ryan got 2nd place in Kof losing to Rob in the finals. Seth and I got 5th out of 10 ppl I believe. Seth got 3rd in in SFxT. I know we did horrible in the tournament for umvc3 because Ryan and I only really been trying to play that game recently. I’m taking up sfxt seriously again and I’m going to be starting to play umvc3 a lot more serious. I would love to level up in KOF but I dont see that happen cause only Ryan plays it and Seth will play it if I ask. I wish the netcode for that game was really solid.
So what do u guys think about Persona lasting in the FGC tournaments??? U guys think it might be a flavor of the month game??? Cause I’m on the fence on buying it. I heard the net code was really solid now and it feels lagless. I really dont like anime fights but I’m thinking about giving it a go since ppl said it focus on more fundamentals. But then Tag 2 is around the corner so its like tearing me apart kinda.

I think Persona’s gonna take over the BB scene for a while, I don’t think GG’s coming back in a big way, and BB 3 isn’t coming out for another year.
It can try to carve it’s own identity, but it’s gonna be fairly hard.
Well, I was never big on anime fighters (liked GG but no one really played it by the time I was on it) and I’m loving P4A. It’s gotta be one of the most balanced games I’ve seen and that is a massive selling point for me. It takes from a lot of games and seems to combine them really well, which is another big one for me. The focus on fundamentals is definitely there, there’s a massive focus on oki for most of the cast, and the high-low mixup is crazy. The health totals and damage seem really good too; you don’t really see combos that completely wipe out a character based on converting from some random hit. Since there’s so much mixup craziness, I love that making a bad mistake or two doesn’t completely ruin the odds of winning a match.
tldr; it’s GG+BB without the over-the-top hardcore stuff from GG and the completely stupid and slow stuff from BB and all the really goofy ass character designs from most anime fighters.
P4 is solid. It probably won’t catch on in Goose Creek, but it is definitely catching on in Charleston!

Have any of you played the ttt2 demo? What do you think about it? The game overall feels a tad slower that T6, but the tag combos are extremely fast. Wish it had more characters, but I guess it would be the real game then huh? :lol:

GGS last weekend fellas. I snagged a copy of P4 and started playing it this week. My SF programmed brain is hating the button scheme, so it has been painful to make myself think vertically. I will pick it up eventually lol.
Gaming tomorrow nite if anybody wants to play. I’m going to start around 5pm. I’m also playing Saturday night as well. Persona 4 is actually getting pretty positive reaction in the FGC and in Charleston. TT2 comes out I believe it will be big as well. Sumter tournament was ran very well and it was fun. I didn’t do to well in the games I played but I know Seth did really well in the games he played. I know Josh won Tekken. Calvin did pretty well in UMVC3. Good shit to those guys. Arthur almost beat me in AE as well. I think his game stepped up. Good Shit to everyone.
