The more I hear the guys on these streams talking about it and watching them play, the more I think the damage will balance out once everyone gets more skilled with their characters and matchups.
I was thinking the same thing, Josh. Having everyone be able to do crazy damage is actually a decent way to make sure all the characters can stay viable in some fashion.
Skrull, Thor, Wesker, Ammy, Trish, X-23 (omg the rush), Akuma (omg the raging demon), Chun, and Task. Now that I think about it, just about all of the Marvel cast looks interesting to me.
Felicia has some seriously damaging combos! Wesker has a mean mixup game (ask flook) and Amaterasu is pretty much top dog when it comes to keep away and distance fighting. Im not too sure about thier assists but that sounds like a pretty solid team to start off with.
Arthur is OK, he is very wierd to play with at first… kind of smash bros like…, his attacks remind me of spiral. I saw Marn use Arthur/Zero/Sent, the team looked good then again he makes all characters look good. BTW Arthur has massive chip damage.
Holy hell. I can only imagine how awesome that would be. :[
edit: Oh yeah, anyone around here have any experience with the Arcana Hearts series? AH3 is coming to PSN and I keep hearing tid bits from different places about AH being a decent game, so I wanted to get some local opinions. Not big on doujin/loli fighters, but if the game is good and the online is decent I might pick it up.

I’m convinced to make room on my team for Doom. Looking for a good blend of zone with some rush. I think Ammy could work for that but I haven’t even messed with her yet, 'cause the idea of all the shit she can do kinda makes my head hurt.
So I’m sitting on Wesker/Doom/Thor as my team right now but I feel like Thor is my weak link. I just can’t get a decent grasp on his movement, feels a bit too sluggish.
Don’t think I’ve run into a character that isn’t interesting or fun yet. Liking the game a lot, but so far I’m definitely thinking Sent needs some damage scaling tweaks and the whole roster could use some xfactor tweaks as well. I’m fine with level 3 xfactor lasting forever, but I don’t think the damage needs to go up THAT much.
Anyone notice how whenever a game comes out and it’s good, nobody is talking? Somewhat similar to a good home cooked meal: when nobody’s talking that means it’s good because they’re too busy eating

Felicia requires a lot of execution. Not difficult execution, but it seems like she requires whomever is playing her to always be active. I’m enjoying Wesker and haven’t been brave enough to train Amaterasu yet. I want to get Felicia and Wesker down first.
I tried playing Arthur in a couple of online games just to test the netcode. He lives down the street from me and… well… the online is the same as SSF4. Translation: Stay away from it unless you’re one of those people that still lies to themselves about online being a good substitute for real life competition =P
Sent will balance out later in the game. I’ve got a feeling characters that can get in and stay in might give him problems, even with super armor on his B + Cs.
Traded in some old games and some gift cards and decided to get MvC3. I didn’t play MvC2 much, so I was terrible, and nothing has changed with 3.
Once I get a slightly better feel in mission/arcade/practice mode, I’ll try online. With the amount of time I spend gaming these days, that will be sometime in March.

Yeah, about Sentinel, i don’t have a problem with him. Once i get in, and i will, he dies fast with resets just like everybody else. So far, the only characters i don’t enjoy playing are Arthur, Spencer, and Viewtiful Joe.
Storm and M.O.D.O.K. are the new hotness. Good times comboing 4 Analyze Cubes and a bomb for 5 psionic power in 1 combo. Storm instant float is broken.
