Hey there fellas. Sorry I haven’t been on as much lately. I just started an internship in San Diego and the apartment I’m in right now doesn’t have internet yet, so I’m checking this at work right now. Hopefully I’ll still be able to update the site properly come this saturday, but I probably won’t be able to get it done and uploaded on time. Keep em coming though, I’ll be back more regularly when I get internet hooked up at my apt.
greyhoundbus: Looks good, man. I was wondering how much knife throwing we’d see for the Rolentos. I think Rose’s scarf could be a bit brighter, especially considering how bright and psychadelic the BG is. Is there a real name you’d like to go by other than your SRK handle?
rook: Sweet Rose. I like the colorized linework, and that pose has a lot of attitude. Try shifting the color of your shadows a bit more. Maybe shift the hue a little, or desaturated it a bit. I think I would drop the entire back arm into shadow so it sits back more behind the rest of her body.
Landel: I’d say that’s a pretty good sketch. I think the eyebrows could be streamlined a bit. I think I would either get rid of the poking out hairs, or move them towards the top of her eyebrow to accentuate the arch.
heyyy nice rose lexy. Very sassy. I would do a few things to make it even sassier. Make her hip jut out more and move her feet more to her right. She looks kinda off balanced right now.

Rose’s hair is one of those overly stylized anime things… that’s quite weird done any other way. Eyes and lips are ok though.

Twelve: Goddamn man, I dig your style so much. It’s got so much originality and personality. My only critique is that I think his hand could have been moved left a bit more to avoid the way the fingertips run into the front of his chest.
Lexy: Good drawing. Try giving you hands a bit more definition. Hehe, also make sure the objects in your picture interact correctly with each other. Right now the scarf is going around her leg and through her dress.

Dreaded Fist - I really intended on making that hour glass figure on her, so I sketched out a rough version of it. Then I got caught up into the other details (hair, scarf, what she’ll do with it, a tarot ect.) that I completely forgot to go back and widen her hips. Then my whole balance thing got outta hand and so forth <sigh> Thanks for the advice though ^^
Rook - Thank you ^^ Yeh… I tend to have that problem when I draw full figures… Not my strong point BTW, Sagat scares me in CVS2 I can’t parry all of his damned uppercuts.
Chainwhore - <sigh> I hate drawing hands ^^; I try to avoid drawing them as much as possible. And as for the scarf ::slaps her forehead:: Holy crap I totally did not notice that! lol I’ll fix it up ^^

Lexy, if you want tilt her right, it’s easy in PS… just use Image->Rotate Canvas->Arbitrary. I think about 2 or 3 degrees clockwise would work. Her feet look like they aren’t level with the edges of the image anyway, so after rotating the pic everything should look perfect!

I thought I’d go with rook’s sketchy-looking style and see how I liked the result. I like it well enough… I’ll probably mix it up between the cleaner anime-style inking/coloring I normally use and this, depending on my mood.
