Character Differences between SF2 ST and HF

Rog’s redizzy is practical on shotos/Chun/Gief/Guile/Sagat on HF. It’s not your standard redizzy but it’s practical and works on HF. Combos on Sim are more fun:P

I gotta refresh my ol skool knowledge, Geez. I can’t remember shiet with anyone but Chun and Rog, heheh.

Apoc.

I remember Balrog having the ability to do 2 dash uppers in HF…anyone remember how did that work ?

It depends on distance and the combo. The recovery is so fast on the dash upper that 2 are possible if given just that time to charge. They are mostly situational but he has some common ones(k…no such thing, now, i suppose. heheh) on Sim and Rog that work as normal combos.

Oh, you gotta use da charge trick! Don’t hit the button until after you are already precharging another one.

No, you’re wrong. I just fired up MAME and loaded HF. Picked Ken on both sides, had one ken duck while the other Ken did RH hurricane over him and then had him stand up in the back of it. The HK hit him once and then kept going. Same thing with crossup air HK, one hit and it keeps going forward. No trapping ability. That was US CE and console HF only.

Sorry Gen-an. That actually works in HF. It was quite common in the Ken vs. Sagat match. Jump in on a downed Sagat and if he does a reversal TU he’s usually dizzy by the “egg-beater.”

All I’m sayin’ is that you can certainly get the hurricane hitting from both sides(more like a super hurricane from Ryu in the Alphas). I’m assuming that’s what yall are meaning by “egg-beater.” That’s what we called it anywayshrug

Apoc.

The egg-beater hurricane kick work on every character in “Arcade” US version of SF2:Champion Edition, but doesn’t work in the “Arcade” Japanese edition (well it is different  ).
As for “Arcade” HF egg-beater works only on very rare occasions and the setup is not worth it, it’s like those weird from the back-attacks where you need to be at the exact jumping distance to get them to work.

SO in a sense Apoc, Gen-An you’re both right
