-Far st.MP hitbox increased in front of him, so you can use it for cancels like Ryu does. The damage is 90, so it also does pretty well in a trade (could use tl check on last part, moving quickly)
-Reverted Air Slasher getting counterhit during recovery
-Sobat damage +10 on LK/MK/HK (now 90/110/130)
-Super can be canceled into U1 by inputting the command up to the second-to-last hit, between them it adds up to 570 damage

I’m happy. Their are definitly some things that I think you could do to round Deejay out but…We seriously just got some stuff that opens up new doors…and of course: NO NERFS!
The hitbox increase is going to be interesting.can’t wait for what combos he can land from this.

yes! the chip damage. I was just thinking that. hopefully you can still cancel super on block.
Happy for any buffs, though they’re not in places I think makes a huge difference. Perhaps there’s more to come.

I was hoping that the projectile invincibility on EX Sobat would improve, I guess they think it’s fine.
DAMN… tonight’s batch of changes are the craziest I’ve seen yet. Hakan starts the match oiled?? Cody can FADC bad spray into U1??
But craziest of all: Deejay’s super canceled into U1. it said you can cancel anytime up until the 2nd to last hit. That’s pretty damn good.
For someone like me who still struggles with EX MGU -> U2, I’m really pumped about this U1 change. Cause there’s 1 combo I’m really good at (that i learned from J-Cool): jumpin -> cr. mp -> fierce MGU xx super. And now I can tack on U1 to the end?? Fantastic.
And deejay is not very dependent on meter, unless you’re in a projectile fight. And I hardly ever do FADC combos because of the scaling. Usually just end with lk sobat (which also got a damage buff) or cr. mk. And now that we can cancel far st. mp (90 damage), I don’t think FADC combos will be that crucial.
In 2012 I’m definitely gonna be saving up super every match. It actually adds another fun element to his character that only a few characters have right now (Yun, Rose, Dhalsim): the importance of building super. I think it’s pretty damn scary now that, just from landing 1 jab, Deejay can now take away 570 damage from you pretty easily. He has a GeJAYgin.

The extended hitbox on far s.mp will be great as an anti-air normal now; perhaps it will not trade as often now. In most situations, it’ll probaly be the go to normal for anti-air, and with it being able to cancel into a special is a great addition. cancel it into air slasher to land on the opponent as they recover from the air for where the match is in your control to either create space and zone or to get in and pressure(depending on the match).
I bet the chip from super into ultra is going to be like 1/6-1/5 of someone’s life bar.
Well, it would be better if they never nerfed u1’s chip… shit was gawdlike. So Dee jay will own both the twins now. Yang cant get around fire balls since the upkick roll is not projectile invul anymore. I dunno about Yuns shoulder charge…
Since you can cancel far st mp, i wonder if it can be canceled/linked into cr mk? or just into special moves?

For DJ, we tried to stress balance and alleviate his lack of damage. U1, which didn’t get much use, was also adjusted
Maybe they changed other properties of U1 as well. cross fingers
It got damage reduced, and plus DJ might not take counter hit damage from it.
And what are you talking about like a chain combo? That would be wierd, but I guess anything is possible.

Man, Cody and Hakan got some nice buffs…Oni still seems like shit…What’s up with that? They didnt even give him ex air dash…That move was said to even be in the coding for the game…I’m wondering if these updates are a “feeling out” process and things will change even more once it’s finally released.

If we could combo into Far st. MP that’d I’d really happy with what they did. Hopefully there’s some other good things not listed.
