Changing an IP address

www.antisansur.com

download that programme , maybe it can help you…

before i go download it. wtf is it lol

you can change your ip with it

Just reset your router. If your ISP gives you a dynamic IP then you’ll get a new IP. If they give you a static IP you’re out of luck.

did you use that programme ?

jeez have you tried the default password.

username : admin
password : admin

if that doesn’t work try these

username : admin
password : password

username :
password : admin

username :
password : password

username: admin
password : 00000000000000000000000000 (thats 26 zeros, or its supposed to be.)

the first one is default and I have seen the second and third one a few times I haven’t seen the fourth but its worth a shot, seriously you wouldn’t believe how many ppl never change the default password its sad :frowning: . The last one was ours.

I agree with some of the other ppl, while its not necessarily bad changing your mac address is something that should be avoided.

Im assuming this is a cable connection otherwise the pull out modem thing would of worked.

here is solution #2 if that doesn’t work

go to command prompt
and type ipconfig /release
then type ipconfig /renew

that should work.

Plus why in the world do you need to change your external Ip, unless maybe you were banned from something?

Adding to this, try Googling for the default user+pass for whatever the model of router you have is.

HEY Topic Starter sir…

if you’re changing your MAC address on your computer, then it affects your private IP. that makes me assume you dont know what you’re changing or talking about. The simple fact is, you can’t change your IP Address at will. Your ISP MUST CHANGE IT FOR YOU.

Let me break it down so you can understand, ok?

The world isn’t made up of IP Addresses. I hope you know there are a limited number of actual addresses in the world for use. If you wanted to change your IP address today, then everyone would. That would make tracking people by IP kind of useless wouldn’t it?

You don’t have access to the router? its for MEDICAL EQUIPMENT? That’s bullshit. You turned it off for 6 hours? thats contradictory. Why don’t you tell us why you need to change your IP?

i’m trying to help you understand this, so don’t be a dick to me.

Anyway, thanks for the neg, Premium-tard.

it must be funny how people are suggesting really simple things.

scottind if you change the router mac address it changes your external ip address and you are trying to say my dad doesn’t do dialysis and his machine doesn’t send blood work info to a central office to be checked? fuck you. i don’t have access to the router.

also nobody has asked me for the reason i need a new IP. its because im banned from battle.net west for running a ops bot.

btw ppl the router is setup with a different name/pass i wouldn’t need to make an srk thread if it wasn’t changed.

also noradseven the thing about ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew only works when you are running a modem only; also some of the name/pass you listed arn’t default for linksys brand. its always name: BLANK pass:admin

Your dad uses the internet to send medical data through the internet… Well, thank god i’m a nurse, and that means something to me but it actually doesnt. But then, maybe you shouldn’t be tinkering with the router at all?

i want to know where you got this idea that changing the router MAC Address will change your IP. Because a lot of people have already said its NOT possible. what controls your IP address, is not your computer or the router’s MAC address, it’s the cable modem’s. You can’t actually change this because your cable provider configures and assigns each modem to the billing account. If you bought a similar DOCSYS Cable modem from circuitcity, it wouldn’t work because the MAC address wouldn’t match.

Anyway, i have 2 solutions that you may want to try (besides contacting your ISP):

1- disconnecting your cable modem for an extended period, like for a day…

2- buy a usb wifi adaptor with an extended antenna, and build a parabolic reflector to extend its range.
(this one is the easiest to build, and gives very good results):

Start sniffing for an open wireless network.

i can change the modem IP when ever i want. i just have to power cycle. but when i am running modem and a router i get the same Ip that is banned. no matter what i do this computer always get the same IP address that is banned. i can look my ip up right now with http://ipchicken.com/ i get 1 IP connected threw only the modem. then i plug into the router and go to http://ipchicken.com/ and i get the one that is banned. its very weird. i had to show it to my dad because he didnt believe me.(he said that it wasnt possible becasue if the ip changes on the modem then it will change on the router) hes an internet technician btw.

accually default is sometimes changed when ppl install your router for you, and depending on your model admin pass: admin is a factory preinstall, but when that guy comes to your house I have seen him change the default password before, he changed ours to be filled with zeros, and one of my friends also on a linysys like me got his changed to admin, password:password ,odd are that one is the best and is mostly likely to work but never hurts to give the other ones a shot.

Internet technician lol, not even considering the contradictions. of course doing that because your routers IP is still the same and your router saves your computers IP not the modem. If you really need to get somewhere just use a proxy server.

OK! i solved my problem. we have an old router that i am now using which is daisy chained to the medical router. it goes like this. Modem -> Old WRT54G -> my internet & Medical Router.

the medical router kept the same ip because of its mac address and with no access to it i couldn’t do anything. so i hooked up my old router and bam! 100% access and a new mac address.
