Seven: We want to keep everything in house for games. We have copies of BB:CS at the HQ, we just gotta update the systems to CSII and get the extra chars paid for. HRD is also a possibility but there’s some reno stuff we still have to finish before we’re 100% open for business.
I’m down for BlazBlue and could donate an xbl points card, if needed, for the characters.
Hmmm maybe we need a bake sale or something to raise some money for the HQ.
I would love if there is a way to play 3s (and other games such as CvS2) at the HQ. Is it unreasonable to maybe have an old CRT permanently somewhere in the back (not taking up space where all the main setups are)? Then people can bring a PS2 for that setup, or maybe an old Gamecube for Smash Bros Melee or something? The CRT TV is the hardest part of that setup but it seems easy enough to just leave a smallish CRT on the floor somewhere, or on a small table next to the counters.
Additionally, I think it would be a good idea to have a section of the website with a “Is HQ currently open?” and a big green YES or red NO, then the person responsible for opening/closing that night can just click a button on a computer somewhere to toggle it. It’s easier than trying to text someone figuring out if the HQ is open, and it’s also easier than trying to browse a forum where someone says “going to open HQ for the night”, which is easily missable in a big sea of other posts.
Basically, if I’m interested in going to HQ one night, what’s the best way for me to find out if it’s actually open that day? Something that’s < 10 seconds for me to check and < 10 seconds for the organizers to update? Maybe we should open a CGYHQ twitter account and everyone with a key knows the password, then can just tweet “HQ is open tonight from 5:30-12”? Easy to check, not bogged down with other text, people can subscribe to the twitter account and get easy updates…

- Is HQ setup going to stay as pure 360s?
- Are we allowed to bring our own setups (ps3)?
