Alex is godlike – he’s really putting a lot of hard work and time into this community. He was going to fly me down to help run things, but turns the American Cancer Society event I chair (Hudson, OH - Relay for Life!) is that weekend

But I think he’s making the right moves with this and really trying to blow it up – get hype!

Mother of God…

Hey ALEX, was wondering…assuming know one has asked yet, but why not have all the games played on one specific console?.. Why SSF4/ MVC3 on 360 and the rest PS3?

How many folks have dual modded sticks/pad…that means many have to carry two sticks and what not… Just curios.

It was a hard decision to make but like I’ve said before, Florida is pre dominantly a XBOX 360 State for Super and that will more then likely carry over on Marvel as well.

All of the other games have a lot of players that play on PS3 that tend to not play Super(Who knows if it’ll change with Marvel 3). Tekken/AH3/MK/BBCS have bigger crowds for PS3. It’s just how it unfolded.I’m going with a majority rules type thing. Most out of state players have dual modded sticks or both and are prepared to travel like that. I know there are a ton of dual modded sticks throughout Florida and we will have extra PS pads laying around as well as a couple PS3 TE’s I have for use in case of emergencies.

While it would make total sense to have everything on one system, it doesn’t make sense in Florida, does that make any sense?

For Super Xbox in Florida has about 3 to 1 more players then PS3 version has.

PS we also have more Xboxs than PS3’s at our disposal so that was another factor. The plan is to have 24 setups for Super to finish pools quickly then move on to Marvel the same day On Saturday all on Xbox. While Tekken and the PS3 games are handled on the other end.

Thanks for the reply Alex. I was just wondering. Looking forward to this!!

i remember so many events ago jebailey was like this is my last event… im SO glad youre still at it man! this event will definitely be top notch!

Haha, Yeah I retired like 20 times, Just can’t get away and in the last 2 years I learned to except that I enjoy this hobby very passionately and It makes me happy to bring all of us together and have a great time. My goal is to create something very special every year in Orlando with this amazing venue that’s a party central.

Could you remind me who you are again though, Kinda forgot the tag.

i dunno if i use my tag at your events. im a chun player from jax.

well i think you got part one of your goal because you successfully brought a major to florida! and after seeing west coast warzone 3 stream tonight i hope this event coming to us is as hype as that! that was insane! cept for the hotels internet being crap…

This is great stuff, right in my area. this would be a great chance to finally experience the community and a event such as this and get involved outside of XBL. Will Def try to make this.

Are there going to be more specific start times for each game closer to the tournament date? Just asking since Friday afternoon till around 6ish I will be at work.

And as long as you posted a topic in the TZ tournament announcement thread, you are good.

Tekken Zaibatsu Forums - CEO 2011 June 10-12th T6, SSF4, MvC3 + More

Done even though that forum seems to be pretty dead at least for that thread.

I wrote I’ll have a full complete schedule by May 15th, waiting to see how turnouts and signups go to determine times but Tekken 6 will pretty much be set for Saturday.

Not that many people post in the tourney threads as here. Most people I contact to play I just call them now anyway. Was asking since I saw AH starting Friday and I might play in that, maybe.

You’ll have to pre register anyways so in reality you’ll be fine cause your name will already be in the bracket for Friday night.

For the first time in Fighting Game Tourney History there will be a very special Guest at the event.

He will be attending unless He begins filming for Avatar 2 in June, He did the Motion Capture work for Jake Sully in Avatar 1. He is the Voice actor for Ken Masters and Dante from DMC 3/4 and Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

His name is Reuben Langdon and he will be at CEO.

Bumped for teh HYPE!!!

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Sounds like you’re putting a lot into this Alex. I so can’t wait!!

This looks cool. Who is going to enter CVS2?

I’m with this guy

I’m going to work hard to get some Philly and nj, players to come down.
