I think it all has blown over, at least for now. There is a tournament coming up in October sometime from the sound of things, over in Ohio. It would be nice to have a good representation of 3S from Indiana so keep on the lookout and come train with us or maybe host something in Indy with Floyd and the boys. Abe is already talking about another party possibility for August so this wold be a great chance to come train and for some reason I really believe all of our state’s best 3S players will gather for this one, including Briaden, Dave, Gary, Joe, and more hopefully including yourself.
If you go to Gameworks make sure to keep bugging Floyd and the other players about putting something together or attending the next party and that there is a tournament later this year in Ohio that would be nice to attend in force. And who knows by then the Purdue boys should be back in the loop so maybe they’ll hold one of their events before October.
I was coming around here to see how the old Indiana is doing. I can see a little drama has come up and I hope that it’s resolved soon.
Unfortunately, things aren’t boding too well for me here. There really aren’t that many people interested in the fighting scene. The ones that are interested live at least 20 miles away within the city and I don’t have the money to front the gas bill. I am also having issues with my stick, which is on my list of things to get fixed. I look forward to meeting you all again next year!

I bought Street Fighter 2 over XBOX live arcade a few days ago and I can’t play it since the D-pad is horrible for the game. I’ve heard that the DOA joystick is a nice replacement but I’m wondering if you guys have any experience with that. One big thing that I have been wondering is if the joystick has the square pattern to it or not since I really hate that. I could just put the one I want in there I guess, but then that would mean paying more money for an already expensive controller.
Also, I guess I should give more effort to get better at some fighting games. So if I have time (need to find out my work schedule) and money, in between playing the new DDR Supernova cabinet they have, you might see more of me at the 3S cabinet if the sticks and buttons are good enough.
Hey Anime, I’ve been playing Hyper Fighting a bunch and yes, don’t bother too much unless you have a stick. The DOA4 stick made by Hori is about your only option right now too so it’s sort of worth the 30 or 40 bucks.
If you guys are looking for something to do when school starts, then peep my post about midway down. It will be a great party, and I’d like to see most of the Purdue crew there.
