Something to consider about the sales thing: there is NO WAY that Nintendo and Microsoft doesn’t know about the obviously lackluster sales of literally every Platinum game so far(with Bayo doing the best). Yet both companies have knowingly decided to fund a total of 3 games so far. N and M know exactly what they’re getting into, and I bet you they understand exactly what crowd cares about these games, and they know that these kinds of quality games, while not 10mil sellers, are the kind of games that are probably almost like badges of honor. Anyone critical of game design can appreciate some of the amazing things they do in combat games, and any publisher can point at those games and say “Look, see? we care about the hardcore crowd, we funded this purely(mostly) based on merit”
Obviously it would be delusional to think that N and M don’t care about the profits of W101, Bayo 2, and the upcoming Scalebound, but it’s also quite obvious that sales are not the only reason they’re funding this developer.
I played this game(the original) a few months back(lol it’s been that long?, been working like crazy) I didn’t finish it I got to the point where a met this dude that stops time right after luka grabbed bayonetta’s ass (wanna see that again) those are the things I remember.
anyway I like the game but I think other than the xbox 360 controller being shitty, the game is extremely easy. I wish I could change the difficulty but it’s locked out until I finish the game once. That’s dumb for a game like this, I want more difficulty right away.
Hard difficulty is a nice challenge. I been working on getting the rest of the unlockables and a hard playthrough. I can tell you that you better seriously learn dodging. I was fooling around during a Jeanne fight and she fucked me up.
And bosses have more health

I was guessing it was actually a plot device (haircut). The talks of her summons being separate from her - I guessed she cut her hair, but still controls it ‘around her’. Or her suit is made from hairs…from…somewhere else…on her…body…

That Lumen fight was so next level. That was the first encounter too. Imagine the next few. Also on stream they revealed that you can ise a mech in that game. I didn’t catch kn how it comes. Bayomecha seems cool. Damn the hype is too real for this game!!!
I’m hoping against hope that we’ll actually get to either play as the Lumen Sage in co-op, NG+, or at least get his weapons or something.
