Thanks to 22D, you can land the claptrap almost in any position on the screen, so you should learn how to do this in order to maximize your damage. Check out matches on AutonomousR’s youtube account to see what I mean.

Wow, tried everyone out and I honestly like Carl the best so far. I’m sure I’m in for it once I hop online but he feels damn good. I’m gonna practice up some more this eve and hop online tomorrow. So if anyone is looking for free wins hit me up.

Any possible way to escape that infinite combo?

I blame everyone else for not liking a 10 year old shota kid. I personally think he is the most interesting character in the game, Mr. Hero.

Oh God, I think I’m a Carl believer now. I was playing with some friends, and of course jokingly used him, but I think I’m starting to like his play style. D:

I also find him to be one of the more interesting, so I’m just surprised not as many people play him is all.

10 year old shota. Hardest character to use. Not enought respect for that T.O.P. hat.

At least you get to play Carl pretty exclusively, I’ve been playing with about 3 pretty good Carl players, so he does get love.

its the learning curve with carl that have alot people kinda unsteady bout picking him his not flashy like alot of the cast( rag/tao come to mind, but with alot of hours of playing with carl the fruits of it are very good.

Basic tip for new people learning his 6d>66> ground loops is to dash as soon as soon as the punch comes out. I can get 3 reps pretty consistently nowadays, but haven’t hit over that even once. I dunno why. D:

Vivace A and B can be used as AA if they’ve already expended their second air-option/they come in low to the ground. Just don’t let them bait it.

I ~think~ that this game is like GG in that when you’re comboing someone, you should look at their burst gauge. If the BB icon disappears, either block, clap, or gear super.

Just a few things I’ve gathered by reading around and dicking around in training mode.

CARL MAINER HERE… i find it hilarious that the NOEL has a crap load of thread…either so many japanophile lovers hoping to see some NOEL hentai… or they just want to start off with easy mode…

some people just don’t wanna work for there wins and don’t wanna be lose off the bat… But let me tell you this, i been playing Carl for almost a week not many hours either… and im doing quite decent with him… its very satisfying and rewarding when you win with Carl and you loop your opponent with ADA.

Sure my win % is crappy but that’s part of the game… some people don’t wanna put the effort and go with a much simpler character with low risk high reward play…but i will go the the extra mile and handle the growing pains but in the end it will be all worth it… because in the end your just another Ragna, Jin, or Noel in an endless sea of them.

i have one question reguarding loop which i cant seem to do…

Its the 2a 5b hold D 5c Release 6D x 3

i can do it once but ada doesn’t seem to finish her frame in time to do the 2nd one…

and is it viable using? if i manage to set that move up i can just go straight to slide to 5C and just do the clap loop.

But still I’d like to be able to do it even if there’s a better option i think of the DVD as my own personal trials and i have to finish the hard trials for all my mains.

So I want to create a list of moves that setup to 2C - (8D - 6BC) x infinity.

So far, I have:

CH 6B
2B (not on all chars)
2A - 2B (not on all chars)
3C - JC - J2C allecan
anti air 6A ? (not sure)

Can some people help me with this?

My win pct is gonna be like 8% until I start winning consistently, which will probably take a few weeks…

I seen videos of Carl J+2C and canceling it without wasting heat. How is this done?
