Capcom's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fighting game is coming to PSN & XBLA. August 21/22, $19.99/1600

They’re doing a huge disservice to the game by releasing screenshots with those filters on. Do people actually think that shit makes games look better?

Will this be a direct port from the arcade version or they will port it from the console version?

I’d assume it’d be the Dreamcast port but I’m not sure.

Of course it’s the dc version as it had a version with online on it already.

  1. NEW JOJO GAME… but made by CC.
  2. HD remix for the old JOJO game… but made with no effort and for 20$.

I never knew that there was a “…for matching service” version of the game.

Filter looks awful, I’ll just stick with GGPO Jojo, $20 is way too much for such a cheap port.

$20 is nothing when you pay for this.

Anyways, I’m more worried about the netcode than the new filters.

I’m really interested in this game but I’m having a hard time finding info on it.

Anyone feel like giving me the low down on the character differences between the ps1 and DC version. Also, I’m curious about these “unfinished” characters.

Oh and one thing I read while researching(http://www.gamefaqs.com/dreamcast/197694-jojos-bizarre-adventure/faqs/6546) is that some characters (secret/unlockable ones) did not have any a.i. made for them so they could never be faced as a cpu opponent. I just want to know if this is true or not. I’m taking this with a large grain of salt but it doesnt seem like something to lie about…

Lets put it this way. There is too many differences that it would take months to list them all. In other words they’re literally different games.

In than case stick to playable character differences. The sources I’ve read are really ambiguous… And the fact that the dc and ps1 character select screen are identical dont help. Freaking secret characters being off screen…

Yeah, I’m far more worried about the netcode too. It seems like it’s going to play well enough offline, but they aren’t using GGPO.

i really hope they nail the netcode ($20 is a deal if netcode is nice–prob not buying if netcode is poor)
i would be really happy with 3SOE type netcode (better than SF4 imo)
is this being handled by US or Jap developer?
im worried the japs dont care about netcode as much as us in the west

I heard that Backbone is suppose to be handling it, right? If it is backbone I’m guessing they’re probably using something similar to the MVC2 rollback netcode.
