Ugh.
Thanks for setting the record straight Giley.
Are we sure the Korean vids are from the final version? When were they posted?
Hopefully there are some changes beyond Sonic Hurricane.

Much respect to you Guile Players for sticking it out. Blanka players are quitting.
I don’t play either character but I respect all characters in this game for their uniqueness.
Why do all these “I came from Tekken” people pop up and yet I’ve never heard of them EVER. You know why cause they were never good at Tekken AND they have no idea what they are talking about? BR’s damage is less than DRs which was Less than 5.0, which was Less than Tekken 3, which was less than T2, which was less than Tekken 1. Scrubs really are hilarious. Too much damage off of a poke? How bad are you? Hopkick’s don’t go over lows till like the 8th frame of activation just like in DR so this garbage about hopkicking lows which could do all the way back in Tekken 3 is ridiculous. Garbage players will make garbage excuses why they lose simple as that.

How nice of you to stay on topic. Also, real cool of you to open your rage up about Tekken. Totally what this thread/forum is about. What I hate about Tekken? Players like you.

if you know anything about the crush system, you’d know that anything that jumps over a low almost ignores the rule of frames, if you activated a low poke at the same time as a hopkick, you will ALWAYS lose - even if you activated it afterwards before the jab hits you will lose, regardless of frames. Same rule applies with anything that crushes highs.
From tekken 3 to 4 a low poke would interrupt that because its a faster move, I have no idea what you’re talking about but the crush system was not introduced till tekken 5.0, before that you were never able to instantly crush a low/smid with a jumping attack.
Overall damage has always been fairly high in tekken but the relative ease to wall carry in tekken 6 is disgusting with the bound system. I’m pretty sure that the damage potential is higher in the t6 series with the bound system than the tekken 5 series since it allows you to wall carry with ease.
I might not be andrew, or MDJ or recognizable forum users like catfish and yiggs but that doesn’t make any player less credible and where are you getting nonsense that we are making excuses for losing? Never implied in anyway that I blame the system for losing, I’m saying the system is fundamentally flawed.

They start testing some Guile stuff out at around 3:20. Possible link from cr.mp to SH? Anyone speak Italian?
btw sorry if this has been posted before, I checked the last couple pages and didn’t see it.
guile already zones honda out for free all day. it’s like borderline 7-3 for him already. if sonic hurricane can punish lp or ex headbutt it’s going to be a nightmare.
I’ve slowed the hell of it multiple times, and it’s really close…but SH hit’s 6 times by itself, and as you saw, cr.MP wasn’t part of the combo. It’s close…real close, but cr.MP into SH didn’t look possible.
It is not close at all. SH is most likely 6-7 frame start-up ( so we can not naturally link into it, unless they want us to have link options like Blanka ) and cr.mp is +2 on hit.

like I said… standing fierce (counter hit) -> u2
still a possibility…no?

This is wrong. BR’s damage is perfect; completely tame compared to what it used to be in the past. The problem with BR juggles is length, not damage. You need to juggle an opp for an 8-10 seconds with 10+ hits and a long well-executed wall carry to hopefully get over 50% damage. In DR, any juggle that involved a wall was gonna do well over 60%. Anyway, this is massively off-topic.
With the last hit of U1 doing more damage, I guess doing Super into Ultra is now going to be more viable?

Wikum, i really hope you’re joking about how good you think guile is going to be now. I’m all for him, but come on man, be realistic.

If Guile did indeed get a damage buff I’d say the Fuerte Matchup is dead even… every move off the run that leaves the ground is ripe for air throw.
The big thing I’m wondering about is if they fixed the Auto Correction. Case in point here:

go to 1:50. and watch from there. Mago is not a scrub. Auto-correction needs to go.
That’s probably my biggest gripe with the game, to be honest - not so much reversals necessarily because it makes sense for him to be able to bait them, but I can’t see the game design sense in including dashes in the equation as well. There aren’t many situations where it actually comes up so it’s not really important especially after you’ve seen it once, but it still bugs me to know that :l::l: sometimes means “dash right.”

I checked the sagat improvement thread. LOL @ how badly he got nerfed. I think maybe even too much…no scratch that, after all those bullshit matches against him, those nerfs are well deserved!
Guile vs Sagat is going to be at least 5-5 imo. Especially since now Guile has a working ultra

Well, at least it’s easy to know who to ignore. I’m not going to clog these pages, but you clearly have a lot to learn about Tekken. I’m sorry you don’t know my name on sight (gasp! I must be awful!) but I’m actually quite good at Tekken - I simply said that the current game feels boring, and SF4 is straight-up more fun. Apparently, I’m unworthy of playing the same game you do, or posting on the same forums. Props for being the first and only person so far on SRK to be a complete jerk to me, totally unprovoked.
Just so you know, people like you are absolutely terrible for this and any community looking to grow and gain more mainstream acceptance. SRK has a reputation for being a very unfriendly place for new players, and it’s people like you who perpetuate that image. On the Tekken boards we’re always happy to have SF players, since we know that our comparatively small community of players won’t grow if we treat players who are simply looking to learn like dirt.

Rufus is one of my most difficult matchups. The game is fine until he manages to get in on you, which is fairly inevitable. Even in matches by Dagger, Yazu, Yoshiwo, etc, eventually you’re going to create an opening for Rufus to get in.
My defense used to be pretty poor, but ever since I’ve been playing Guile it’s been forced to improve a lot. I’m better at dealing with the Rufus rushdown now once he DOES manage to get in on me, and one knockdown lets me retreat and reset, but I don’t quite understand how you think Guile wins this matchup now. Can you elaborate? I don’t feel like EX Snake being toned down is enough to make this match easier. Like you said, if for no other reason than that he can land an ultra in so many ways, this still seems difficult.
Guile getting a damage boost may help though… it’ll make his hits count more, which will make the matches shorter, which means there is less time and opportunity for him to get in and cause big damage.
Sagat got hit hard with the nerf bat, but keep in mind that Alioune (sp?) was discussing that Angry Scar TU’s have juggle properties and Angry Scar has a freeze property, so there is potentially major damage output, just in a different format than vanilla.
