They can keep the same CPS 3 sprite and those cvs characters like bison and ryu, BUT OMFG DO SOMETHING ABOUT VS AND ESPECIALLY ALPHA SPRITES. :lame:
Hey, what do you know? The only two Street Fighter 3 characters to have already been redrawn for non-SF3! (Other than Pocket Fighter’s Ibuki, but I’m hoping for at least SOME congruity.)
I’m guessing “not SF3-quality graphics”.

Hmmm. This seems to be too far along for those shots to be simple mock ups. So much for that idea…
One thing I have to say, it’s art by Shinkiroh that gasp I actually like! Maybe it’s because it doesn’tl look like every single other piece of artwork she’s ever done! It looks like more traditional artwork than her normal “painting”" style and I like it a lot. Also the poses aren’t as static and lifeless as usual.
Well, if there’s nothing else good about this game, at least the artwork is nice. 
Note: It may say that the characters are aken from 5 classic 2D series, but Ingrid’s in there, so that means it’s possible that a few other 3D-based characters (e.g. someone from Project Justice) might show up. Someone has to team up with Ingrid, after all…
Cast is still too small, though at least it’s quite diverse at the moment. Needs at least 20 more characters, plz…

You can clearly see in the screen shots that Chun Li at least is using her Third Strike sprite, and not her CvS2 sprite.
Edit: Check out the color depth on Chun Li’s thighs. Definately not her CvS2 sprite.
Can honestly anyone say they’ve played the game yet? When its released its understandable to post a final verdict. Its not anywhere near finished. Just play Mugen in the meantime

While Capcom Fighting Jam seems to be a good idea, I think Capcom could have done this a lot sooner.
Back in 1994, SNK came up with a brilliant idea. They decided to make a fighting game that combined characters from two of their popular fighting game series at the time: Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting. Then, they decided to create new characters (Kyo, Rugal, Sports Team) for this game and add a 3-on-3 fighting system. What resulted was the King of Fighters series… and this game became so popular that for the next 9 years, a new KOF game would be released every year. And its still going.
Now, Capcom easily can do this, and for a while, it looks like Capcom might do it with Capcom Fighting All Stars (with new heroes D.D., Ingrid, etc). But CFAS got canned… and maybe this is the replacement. If Capcom can pull of a SFJ release every year, then it would be very cool.
But it’s all too early to tell.
Like the Slam Masters, the JoJo series is not Capcom property and last I heard Capcom used up what was left of their partnership with Lucky Land on using GioGio (JoJo Part 5) for a PS2 game. So unless Capcom renews that, then like the Slam Masters, there won’t be any JoJo characters in the game either.
I don’t give a damn about reused sprites, its done by Capcom, or any of that meaningless crap. What matters is this…

Well, it seems there’s going to be only two WarZard characters, with them being the lamest of the bunch. 
I would have prefered Mai-Ling/Tao instead of Tao. Ah well…
I also don’t like how they catergorized the characters. Personally, I think they should have done it by fighting/beat-em-up series instead of games, with like 4 characters each series. We can only hope for a shitload of secert characters.
First off: Honda, Ken, Maki & Cammy have been spotted as BG charas. Fucking weak. Also, only 2D fighters mean no Rival Schools/Project Justice charas. Fucking weaker…
At least it’s a new 2D Capcom fighter though. However, unless there’s an arcade release, this game will fail miserably. Any more word on cast members? So far we have
