I stab myself in the eyes everytime I see a felix-sama post now.
Ah this would have been the perfect way to polish off an otherwise shit thread.
I won’t post anymore if it makes yall happy
Yes, yes! THIS! It makes NO SENSE!! None at all. I’ve watched every damn high level match I could find on this game and I always wondered why no one ever did an ingame switch.
in CFJ, it’s to deal with matchups. i think that’s how it was intended to work in project justice too but matchups don’t really matter as much there.
I said that before but everyone just ignored it.
They’ve just decided it was put in there for the hell of it, apparently.
@ Hatred Edge - I’ve seen plenty of high level matches where players switched characters, you must be exaggerating.
The system in CFJ is actually really good. You pick your character, then another character that can deal with your bad match ups. If this was in SF4, I’d be able to pick Blanka, the a second character to deall with my nightmare match up (Balrog). I’d only need to switch when I faced Balrog. It’s a good idea and works well in practise.
It makes more since when you think about it from the standpoint of a one vs one game rather than a team game like KOF. Cool.
they should have put rival school characters in the game
CFJ was terrible game from the moment the screenshots came out with Guy Bushin throwing a fucking dinosaur, all the way to it’s release and I played a game where I could use Guy to Bushin throw a fucking dinosaur.
It deaded Capcom fighters for 4 years single handedly.
Since others have addressed the matchups thing…
In RS/PJ it’s for L2 team supers. It’s stronger in RS than PJ because the latter has the assist-interrupting minigame (background character picks influence that too).
Nigga, that was the best part!!
Lies, everything is better with dinosaurs, EVERYTHING.

Also, some grooves built meter faster than others. So you could use one character to build meter, then switch to your partner next round with full meter and be very troublesome.
