Capcom Classics Collection 2 (f/ arcade perfect ST)

which game speed do you guys use?

Is that the closest he can get though? When it happens on mine the opponent is able to get all the way up to his fist. I know the distance to poke with crouch MP and when this happens you can just feel something is wrong when it doesn’t hit due to them getting closer than you are used to.

What Strength!!
But Don’t Forget There Are Many Guys Like You All Over The World

Okay, yesterday I was playing in the uber-glitchy training mode (throw at 0 health gives the death cry, sometimes they stand up while flying) and after a while, the music and sound’s volume went down for no reason, and I could hear Cammy’s/Balrog’s/FeiLong’s voices for no reason (I was playing Gief). I’m going to tr to record it with my god-awful video quality webcam today.

Is the game still on sale for $10 at Target? Or was it just a Black Friday thing?

I’m headed there right now. I’ll post when I get back.

(some one dropped a tip that it was on sale today though, so that’s why I’m going)

Yup, still on sale. $10.36 total. Finally got my copy (yay!)

yeah, there’s a lot of glitchy sound clips going off randomly… cries

the gameplay seems fine and intact, though. shrugs

Turbo 3. duh.

Yeah, I just went and came back as well. They had a special where if you bought the second one, you get the first one free. So I got that. Plus they had Simpsons DVDs for $16, on sale from $40. So I got Season 8 as well, lol.

In review…

CCC1 + CCC2 + Simpsons Season 8 = $26 (regular price $80)

EDIT: Talking to some other friends, I guess that the CCC1/CCC2 deal was only happening where I lived as the Target in another town about 20 miles away didn’t have the same special.

Sale isn’t available online. Fuck Target…

you know what they say about food having a better taste when it’s “made with love”…
well all these little extras and design in CCC2 make me feel like this game was “made with love”.

you don’t have to know the developers to feel like the game was made by a capcom gamer/fan. it has its own unique charm.

the only thing i think is missing is some kind of bonus you can get for beating all the games, or even for beating all the games on hardcore setting. (ofcourse it has to be a bonus that’s worth it like super zangief hentai action j/k)

can’t wait to pick this up

i couldn’t agree more.

I got the game last week, love the fact that gameplay wise it’s arcade perfect and that they didn’t force you to hold select for selecting the arcade perfect versions of Honda, Chun-Li, VEga, O-Sagat ect like Hyper SF2 forced you to

being able to just select Honda without holding select is a breth of fresh air of arcade perfect Oochio throw and Super goodness

I did notice that the audio gltiched at times, Ken and Honda punched each other at the same times as the music change to 2nd round drama music and it was weird sounding… and noticeably on T.Hawk’s BMG music, there are audio slowdowns

100% A-GREEE,SIR!!

This is the best game of the year(at least for me!). THANK YOU, DAVID SIRLIN!!!

P.S: Tutorial vids are NICEEEEEE!!!

the fuck…my target has it at $19.99 :frowning:

that audio issue again

Well, I ran into an audio glitch tonight unfortunately. Then I come to this thread and see that someone got raped for mentioning that he experienced an audio problem. But I really don’t care how people respond to this, cuz it happened. Maybe Sirlin can explain why the game did what it did with my shitty description below. It’s like the game got ahead of itself, or lost its place in reading the audio data… I don’t know.

I can’t even remember what characters we were using, or the stage (possibly t.hawk?), but my friend and I were playing in versus mode, and at one point, the sound cut out shortly, I heard the announcer say, “fei long,” (neither of us were using him, I can remember that), the sound sorta came back a moment, cut out shortly again, the announcer randomly says, “two!” Luckily, that was it, but it definitely got our attention. The reason it’s a problem for ANY player, scrub or pro, is that you’re focused playing and BOOM, out of nowhere, what you’re subconsciously used to hearing in the background changes drastically, and it breaks your concentration. So turn your noses up to complaints that some of you find frivolous all you want, it’s still a problem. And it’s a small bug like that that starts making you worry and question. Hopefully it’s just a random thing that was even in the arcade originally.

Other than that, I’ve been enjoying myself immensely. There does seem to be some strange lagging and/or flickering of the graphics during the “VS” screens before matches, but that’s not even an issue. BTW, the tutorials were well done. I’m surprised they didn’t include even more specific tricks of the trade considering some of the stuff that was covered.

I think at this point it’s undeniable that there are some weird sound glitches in the game; enough people have mentioned it that it can’t just be dismissed as one guy making stuff up. I guess it’s not really a huge deal, but I am pretty disappointed. I think Silks point about it being something that can easily throw you off is legitimate.

So out of curiosity, what does everyone think about this being used at Evo? It sounds like a lot of people are having sound issues. Would it be acceptable to use?

My asking this wouldn’t determine anything at all, I’m just wondering what everyone’s opinion is.

sound bugs aside on the ps2, that’s why i’m looking for the xbox version which is damn near impossible to find.
